Twin Ember Stags: lore, lineages, and more.

Major work in progress (Please don't post <3)

Pack information:

A bit about allies...

Allies of Twin Ember Stags are treated with respect and hospitality, and will always be cared for if in need of support. Herbs and food will be provided if allied pack(s) are low or out of either. If allied pack(s) request it, members must participate in traditions and events if agreed upon by both packs' leaders.

Insignia and motif:

T.E.S's insignia is a two-headed stag, usually surrounded by embers or fire. This insignia is seen as sacred to all pack members and it is outlawed to hunt these creatures who are depicted as such (black-tailed deer, red deer).

Beliefs:

Beings of divinity...

Tähtihenki-

The deity of the stars... often very conceited and vengeful. Tähtihenki is a being of multiple forms, taking forms of constellations to cause mischief and chaos from above. She was most commonly seen being worshiped in the time of Monarch Vhmarie's rule. This led to profound changes to the perception of deities to the pack after wolves, especially pups, went missing. All of which affects the pack to this day.

Tähtiäiti-

Not to be confused with Tähtihenki, Tähtiäiti is the mother of the stars. Although she has a fiery demeanor and is the creator of the destructive element: fire, Tähtiäiti is the eldest of the spirits and deities and brings life to all. She is worshipped for bringing longer warm summer months and shorter winters.

Water deity-

The deity, or spirit, of any and all sources of water. Although unnamed, they are often referred to as "sininen henki", or "blue spirit". Sininen henki has many different depictions based on the region they are worshipped in. In colder regions such as where T.E.S is located, they are seen in a more feminine nature and kindly called "vesi äiti", or "water mother" by the locals. Regardless, Sininen henki is thought to be closely linked, often as a lover or dear friend, of some of the moon deities.

Varjo/Varjoja-

Varjo, plural as "Varjoja" or "Varjoile", are shadow beings that devour the souls of the deceased, though, typically not wolf and canid creatures. The Varjoja commonly take the form of crows or ravens and are less of deities and more of ghostly beings that wander the world. Their name, quite literally, means "shadow" or "shade" even. Although many tribes have their own beliefs and reasons for the Varjoja, it is believed in TES that they guide souls, who have not fulfilled a purpose or goal, to the afterlife. Many canids believe that in the afterlife, truly lost souls seek reincarnation some, however, disagree.
