How long did it take you to pick your breeding male?

I decided on my breeding male after playing around in wardrobe with another person's wolf. Then I spent a stupid amount to buy him and then customize him. Now I'm just waiting for him to grow up. This is Mariki.

I wanted my breeding male to be my lead just because I spent sooo long deciding what looked good together and I would like his genes to be passed on. And I know the whole "alpha" thing is not true in reality but I'm playing more of a fantasy than my spouse is on this site and want the "alpha's" genes to be the dominant ones so it was an easy choice!

I’m so picky, haven’t found what I’m looking for and I’ve been scanning since I joined as soon as public launch. Not to mention I’m super broke so even if I found what I’m looking for I probably can’t afford it. I’m gonna be grinding for currency and just have patience for the perfect one to come around or to plan a really good breeding to hopefully produce what I want. 

Honestly I used the customizer to make my breed male on day 1 of early access. Right after the quest I removed the one it had me use and made him, though it was a couple hours of me playing in the customizer to get something I like.

I made my companion wolf my breeding male. I honestly thought that's what it was meant for aha. He's my leader's mate. c:

tbh I didn't even think about the fact that you could set a wolf other than your lead as your breeding male - I came from lioden so it was kind of my automatic instinct to choose my lead right off the bat!

Afterwards it did take me a while to come up with a custom design I liked for him though. He was really distinctive and I couldn't figure out a good way of keeping the aesthetic but still adding more markings and a tier 2 base. Super happy with what I came up with in the end though!

@Badweather Same. I didn't see the point in my breeding male being anything but my playable wolf, since that's how it is in Lioden, so I just jumped the gun and made him my breeding male. Next go 'round I might have a female lead and a breeding male as her mate lol.
