Locust Creek Breeding Projects

Hello! I have some breeding projects going on for my pack. Help, feedback, and everything else is welcome. This post will change as projects are finished and new ones are made.

Right now the mission is:

• Breed an Auburn base
• Try for an albino
• Try for a mutation (any kind)

Long-term missions that will be created over a long time on Wolvden:

• Keep the Skarn base existing in my pack for as long as possible
• Keep descendant leads related to beginning pair (Family Tree will be made. Also known as Original Line Breeding)

Completed missions:

N/A

- Acquired a Rust based female.

- Bred Rust based female to an Onyx stud. Was given pup delivery feather and birthed a Caramel female and an Ebony male.

Next Move: Wait for cooldown, then breed again.

Albino Trial:

- Bred Esadowa (26%/low fertility) to albino carrier stud. 

- Esadowa gave birth to 4 female puppies. No albino. All possible carriers. Any pups I absolutely cannot keep to breed will be chased.

Next Move: Either breed same stud to different female if no albinos show, or breed back pups to stud to see if they are carriers.

The albino project has been cancelled due to male carrier refusing inbreeding, leading to extreme difficulties in finalizing potential carriers.

Mutation Trial:

 Breed wolves until a random or hereditary mutation presents itself. 

Long-Term Mission Progress

Current lead and breeding male will not retire until the middle of March 2021. Breeding the two together will become much more active once the window to retirement starts closing in. Donoma gave birth, no good puppies. Next batch will come in a month/later.

To ensure Skarn is present, a young female Skarn base has been accepted into the pack (Rockwell). Once retirement/passing away draws a bit closer, litters will be birthed from the pairing. The prettiest offspring sharing the base will be kept, while offspring of a different base will be sold. Any offspring sharing the base, but not kept, will be chased or shared with allied packs only!
