It is based what you wish the pup to be like in the future, another variant is used when a mother is unsure, they will name them based off their coat and what reminds them of it. The Ancient pack in question is really a tribe, but is labeled as a pack. Its 2 most common names it goes by being The Tribe Of Ever Living Secrets and, The Pack Of The Hidden Caves. In these wolves that originated from the ancient pack, some born may randomly receive powers, the mother will know if at least one pup in the litter will have a power if she has a dream of empty caves with a soft hue of purple if a female is to have a power in the litter. Or a soft hue of Green if one of the male pups are to inherit a power. And on even more rarer cases the whole litter of pups could each have a power, that coming with a visit from the old tribes leader, Starry Mind. Whom is a very spiritual and mysterious wolf, link However, the powers in larger litters are weaker then if a littler of 2 pups each had powers. And in some there just wont be powers at all, which will be 80% of the time. ( ex. for names, Soul Snatcher, Foggy Dusk, Ravine Leaper, Deadly Night, Life Saver/Giver, Foresee, Mind Mover, Battle Winner ) If you have any suggestions for this idea, feel free to tell! An extremely rare naming system, it will always start with, ' The'. The mother will name them off the appearance of their pelt, and if they were louder, quieter, or more steady as a pup. Occasionally, off the hour they were born. Different names may include, The Days Brightest Beam(beam), The Dusks Last Wish(dusk), The First Days of Dawn(dawn), ect. Some more examples, from things I stated earlier, would be, The Loudest Forest(forest), The Swaying Storms(storm), and The Only Hope(hope), The Darkest Hour(hour), The Quietest Night(Night)
