Zofia began to cough, trying to gather oxygen back into her lungs after the wind being knocked out of her. After the unknown force pulled away from her, the small female rolled over and managed to hop up onto her paws. She stood and shook the dust from her coat, glaring at the new pup. "Was that really necessary?" She growled, glaring at the stranger, still distraught from the whole ordeal. "Be lucky I dont turn around and throw your butt into that river and watch you float away!" She exclaimed, huffing in disbelief. Zofia turned her stunning blue gaze from the pup known as 'Heron' to Mars. "Who the heck is this?" She asked.

Mars sighs, "This is the friend I had mentioned, he's a bit, protective of me..." Mars says. Heron smiles sheepishly, "I didn't think, I just reacted as normally would have... on my defense i didn't know you had a Colbalt friend..." Heron says, looking to Zofia.

Zofia huffs and casually flops back onto her haunches, glaring between the two pups before her. "I mean, any normal wolf or pup would see there was no fighting or anything threatening going on… But I guess I understand." She mumbled, rolling her eyes and looking off into the distance. The female's ears suddenly perked towards Heron's comment as it sounded harsh. She snapped her attention back to the new pup and huff, "For your information, I wouldn't quite call us friends. We did just meet. Even if were to identify as friends, is that an issue? A Cobalt and an Outcast being friends?" She questioned him, her tail lightly tapping against the ground beneath her paws.

As the silence settled between the group of pups, a breeze whistled pass them carrying a very familiar scent, at least familiar to Zofia. The merle pup's eyes seemed to glisten, her lips peeled back into a smile. Her tail began tapping against the earth in excitement. "Borealis.." She whispered silently underneath her breath. Her friend was fast approaching, the sound of his paws crunching against the leaves brought music to Zofia's ears… He was only seconds away now…

Heron froze at her question, clearly puzzled. Mars looked to her, "Borealis... I'm guessing that is a friend of yours..." He says, he sounded slightly alarmed. Though he didn't want to leave her, what were the odds he'd see her again once her pack knew they had crossed over. Mars personally found no problem with them being friends, as long as it didn't affect them in a negative way.

After a short silence, Mars sighed, "We should go before we're caught..." He says to Heron. "Wot..." Heron says, his Scottish accent kicking in. "But I've only just arrived..." He says. Mars shakes his head. then began to back slightly away from Zofia.

Zofia looked over to Mars and dipped her head, nodding, "Yes… I think its best you go. My friend.. He absolutely hates The Outcasts. His parents were killed by y'alls kind after they were hunting and happened to chase an elk into y'all's territory. Someone thought they were hunting on y'alls land and brutally murdered both of them…" She responded, her voice trailing off slowly as the footsteps began to get closer and closer. "However, I come here every so often for breakfast, I may just be here again tomorrow." Zofia continued, glancing over at Mars, hinting at her return in the morning. Just as she she was about to usher the pups back across the river, there was rustling coming from the foliage next to them. A low, rumbling growl came from the shadows. "Borealis! No!" She screamed, yet it was too late.

A dark figure emerged from the shadows, teeth bared, tail raised. In a matter of seconds, Borealis pinned Heron to the ground. Face inches from the Outcast's pups nose, Borealis licked his lips, his hackle raised high in aggressiveness. "Leave!" He growled, before jumping off his foe and darting towards Zofia, standing in front her, protecting her incase these pups turned tail to charge them. Borealis was a very dark pup, his coat almost black. Only the fur around his neck glistened white. His eyes were similar to Zofia's, but a much darker blue, filled with pain and agony. He was the same age as Zofia, but much larger in size. His eyes darted from Heron, the pup he tackled, to Mars, his eyes furrowed in disgust. He didn't know what was going on, but he wanted these pups gone.

Heron completely froze in complete horror, Mars kept his face straight. He had somehow swiftly helped Heron regain his wits and the two of them ran into the trees of their own territory. When they came to a small waterfall-type area, near another part of the river, where they normally would hang out to avoid the adults. They both collapsed of exhaustion, "Yep... I don't like that guy..." Heron says, panting hard. Mars nodded, too out of breath to say a word, he laid down, his entire body ached. It had been a long while since he had to flee from someone or something, and he rarely enjoyed it.

Zofia watched as the pups took off in the opposite direction and huffed. Her gaze shifted towards Borealis, "Was that all so necessary? I get you dont like them, most of us dont, but that was over the top. Even for you," She grumbled.

Borealis growled and turned to face his friend, his head lowered and his eyes softened, "I'm sorry. I didn't know what they were doing and I was taking any chance. We need to go, your parents are looking for you." He huffed and turned tail.

Both pups stood from their spots and trotted off into the brush side by side, tails swaying almost in sync. Zofia was quite the entire time, knowing that Borealis was upset about the whole ordeal, and he was sure to mention it to her parents. Should she dare go back to the river the next morning? Borealis was sure to follow her, or worse… Her parents would.

A little bit had passed, and despite the warning of Borealis, Mars wanted to go back. He knew it would be highly unlikely for Zofia to still be there, but she seemed to see their differences in such a different way than both of the packs did. Mars paced back and forth, he thought hard on the idea, but something inside him hesitated. "You can't be seriously wanting to go back, dude that friend of hers is NUTS," Heron says with much sign objection.

Zofia and Borealis traveled further into their territory until they reached an opening in the trees. The area was small, the once green grass was dry and dead. In the clearing littered countless rocks and boulders, varying in different sizes. Each rock was covered in a emerald green moss, soft to the touch. This was the Cobalt's denning area. The area used to be a large pond years ago, but eventually dried up, making a perfect area for wolves to dig dens between boulders and rocks in the soft dirt.

The two pups made their way through the rocks, being careful where they stepped. Additional wolves of the pack dipped their head at the presence of Zofia, out of sheer respect as she passed. As they arrived to the middle of the clearing, a large den entrance came into view, this was her and her parents den. The largest den out of everyone else in the pack, dug entirely by her mother Celest and father Ghost.

Zofia huffed and glanced at Borealis, "Where are they?"
Borealis looked back at his friend, "They'll be here soon, but I gotta go. I was going to tag along with one of the scouts on his trip around the territory. He was going to give me some pointers." He responded. The young male dipped his head one last time as a goodbye and darted off into the surrounding trees, leaving Zofia to wait for her parents arrival, alone.
