The sent stopping one is and animal getting picked up by a flying predator.

And the 'earthquake' I thought might be fracking, but I feel like it could also be my first thought, of exploring through Yellowstone National Park, the ground fluctuates in some areas, up to a couple of meters in just a couple days/weeks.     So in some places it might be flat one day. And the next day there is a 'bubble' or a small incline, then in a couple days it might be gone. Maybe these fluctuations cause a sound like a ship makes when it's sinking.

Along the same lines maybe the 'earthquakes' are just natural geyser. Like old faithful.

"The sent stopping one is and animal getting picked up by a flying predator." Nah, because the text says that's unusual or something, and your wolf wouldn't find that weird :D

But your wolf would if they were tracking prey, then it just stopped with no holes or cubbies near by. Look at how many eagles there are!

It would seem unusual to them I would think.

Surely not, because they're aware of birds and that birds fly away - and most birds that stoop on prey kill and consume on the spot as far as I know? Most don't carry it away.

Now, tracking a bird that took off might be plausible, but I figure not so unusual that it would surprise a wolf?

Gotta be aliens :D

(Or, just as likely, someone getting into a car/onto a horse/etc but let a girl dream!)

If they got into or onto something, the wolf would smell that sent... 😱

Has anyone here ever played lioden? They had an event with a great earthquake type rip opening up and a beast almost destroying the world and you had to stop it.

Building up to something like this?

The humans started mining...

They got greedy...

They went too deep...

And they disturbed it's slumber... And it's not happy.
