You slide into the quiet clearing and scan for any sign of the male who invited you here. It's hard to make out anything in the still darkness at first, but soon your eyes adjust to the soft blue hue of your surroundings. From the tall grass emerges a wolf who nearly blended in with the moonlit meadow, their tail waving high in the air and eyes shining.  "Why, Canis Majora, welcome!" they greet you with a wide grin and a dip of their head. "Thank you for joining me tonight." Hm... yes, definitely. This is the male you had met on your southward excursion that day. You'd recognize that mottled blue-green coat anywhere. "To be honest, I wasn't sure you would come after I sprung up on you so suddenly like that. Again I'm very sorry for startling you. But you've come after all!" You regard the male with a chuckle as you recall being startled out of your fur, a streak of teal serving as the only warning before the stocky wolf barreled into you. After graciously apologizing and assuring he was no threat, the forward fellow had wagged his tail and told you his name was Astren, that he used he/him and they/them pronouns and served his pack as a finisher of the hunt. He had locked you in conversation right away and gazed at you with starry eyes when you revealed that you were your pack's leader. A swarm of enthusiastic questions about your duties followed, and you told him about the hard work it takes to keep the pack's bellies full, the herbalist scrambling to keep up with ailments, and the females excited about continuing the pack's legacy. Before you'd parted ways, he'd asked with a gleam in his glowing gaze if you'd meet him in the meadows at moonhigh. You cock your head-- he hadn't told you what he wanted, but you had an idea. Astren shakes his head and straightens himself as if he'd just noticed you. "Oh- of course! You want to know why I've asked to meet you again. You didn't happen to think this was a date did you? Ahahahaha, to be clear it's not. Er it can be if you want!" he laughs very hard, then sits back on his haunches as he continues, "Nah, I just was wondering if any of your packmates -- the ones who can bear pups? -- would be interested in letting me sire their next litter!" A litter? You gape at him and plop onto your rear in disbelief. Had this stranger just asked if he could fuck your packmates? It must be so as he grins and chirps, "I only ask for a few cones in return, since I'm different blood. Fresh fish in the gene pool are a valuable thing, you know?" You tilt your head as Astren gestures with a paw. "I much prefer not to breed with, erm... muddled wolves... but hey, 20 cones is 20 cones amirite? I'm not even exclusive to she-wolves... heck, it can be you if you can bear pups, and they'll be the handsomest in the land! C'mooon, whaddya say?" You raise a brow and regard the bastard as he slides into a playbow. His offer is... intriguing. You mull over it, then rise to your paws to answer him. >> No thank you, Astren, perhaps another moon. You step back and Astren pulls back to his feet, tail drooping. "O-oh. Alright. I see ... Well listen, if you change your mind, you can find my pack just beyond here in the swamplands. Just tell them I've sent for you." He turns and throws a flustered grin over his shoulder before vanishing back into the moonsplashed fronds. >> Hmmm... maybe! Let's see what you're made of. Astren leaps to his paws as soon as you return his bow. "Oh Canis Majora, thank you so much!" He seems to remember himself suddenly and shakes himself proper, then twirls beneath the moon's shining eye to show off his attributes, beaming eagerly at you with his tail in the air. ... 2) nope! Obviously I prefer higher fertility but he'll breed the wolf till they're pregnant ^^ gc is preferred for like reeeeally low fertilities below 10% but not mandatory!! |
