Hey there! This is a kind of random topic - but I got to thinking about the potential cross-over from the Petz community to games like WD and LD. Petz is old now, but there is still quite the group of folks who are playing - and I myself still play quite often. I'm working on a pet project to breed my wolvden pack in game, which is fun.

Oh, hi! I used to play a lot of Petz back when I was a kid, but I lost interest after feeling like I got all of the fun out of it as I possibly could. I do still have the games though, and I open them up from time to time just to see if I can find the fun in it again.

How has the community been doing? The last big hubbub I've heard from them was some discovery regarding hexing items or petz to have certain traits or properties, which sounds really exciting to me but I don't know if that's been put into practice yet. I'm more interested in behavior than in visuals a lot of the time, so something like that could be what brings me back.

Yeah the hexing / brexing community it still pretty thriving tbh. We know that the behaviors are coded and I think some folks have been able to hex petz into having different personality traits; like Dals that have GSD personalities. TBH it's mostly over my head - I care more about true breeding new colors and eye mutes, but that's just me c:

Gosh, I haven't touched Petz in ages, though I still have my copies of Dogz 5/Cats 5 sitting around here somewhere.

I'll have to see if I can find and get them installed. At one point I had old petz files (from, like, 1998) stored on an external hard drive somewhere too, so those would be fun to look through.

If you end up not being able to find your hard copies; there are web hosted copies that come with PetzA and all the bells and whistles pre-installed.

Yes! I was on the PCG Forum up until about ten years ago! I think I'm going to reactivate my FB because I miss my Petz friends. I was showing pretty regularly on the PKC. I want to get back into it!
