Oryn appreciated the words- quietly nodding in reply. He watched with interest as Carnage traced the symbols in the ground. "Oh! Athelia didn't mention that you knew magic as well..." He watched the symbols glow then fade. "Are you trying to cast something in particular or just, scrawling?" He reached over and traced a small sigil that somewhat resembled a sort of circular blossom. It glowed a soft green as a small tulip shakily sprouted and bloomed. "I know a few, nothing very useful though. Mostly just things I've found scrawled within the dreamlands and messed with myself. Where did you learn it?" He maintaned eye contact with Carnage- not much expression on his face but eyes crinkled a bit with interest. Vetrius grinned brightly. "It would be my honor- we are still unpacking as you can see- but would you believe we had the helps of raccoons with constructing this cart?" She nodded towards the odd wheeled cart. "It's surprising what they will do for trading, really. We are mainly nomadic you see, my pack follows me as I chart the dreamlands and follow the phases of the moon. So it's a big help to moving us around." "Oryn is my second command, but we try to rule fairly, most of our pack members have a say in what goes on and we try to be pretty open with communication. Though of course, we all have our secrets." Any elaboration was cut off as a group of wolves ran by chaotically. "Ah, that's our hunting party returning!" She laughed after the rush of wind following behind them ended. ((sorry this reply is kinda rough  ))

- Carnage nodded. "I learned them in the dreamlands, too. I was just doing a few light ones, nothing special. just absentminded symbols." He said softly, locking eyes with oryn for a moment. |

As they approached a gray she wolf turned and looked directly at Carnival. "Greetings." Carnival and Vetrius could see that the party had dragged in an elk cow- and were busy boasting about their hunt. "Carnival- this is Shara- she's the leader of her hunting party!" Shara's muzzle was dotted with gray whiskers, revealing her age, though her body was well muscled. It wasn't hard to picture her streaking after something like an Elk. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Carnival, I'm really not all that glamorous." She chuckled softly, before nodding back towards the elk. "You're welcome to mingle and take a look if you'd like. Our hunters wont bite- they know I'd bite back." --- Oryn nodded back at Carnage- though a stoic wolf his fur fuzzed up a little at the eye contact. "Me as well- but it is quite fascinating!" He paused to look over at Carnival and Vetrius chattering with the rest of the pack. "It looks like our friends are tied up, but if you'd like I can show you the herbalists den- me and our herbalist Nepenthe have been working on enchantments. I think you've met her once before? Kind of sullen- blue and brown eyes." |

"Of course- we've been experimenting with writing those carving on items and various things like charing them under full moons etcetera..." She led them to a collection of odd things ranging from potion bottles to jewelry items. "Nothing's really produced any results but it's also considerably difficult to actually measure the use of stuff like this." >>> Vetrius smiled, "Of course- I can show yo-" They were interrupted by a sudden clamor of panicked barking as Athelia barreled into camp, accidentally shoulder checking a few pack mates as she made a beeline for Vetrius. "There's some sort of-" she had to stop to pant for a moment- " some sort of crazed elk coming towards camp. It doesn't seem right and I could smell wolf's blood on it, but I don't think it was actually from our pack..." Vetrius bristled with alarm, casting a look over to Carnival. "We must take care of this immediatley- it could be dangerous so I can't ask you to help but I won't stop you from assisting either." "I'll watch your back, we got this!" Athelia added in afterwards, earning a bit of a side eye from Vetrius for sounding so upbeat about the situation. |

----> Carnival raised her eyes at the sudden appearance of Athelia and the threat. she nodded swiftly, "I can help. I've fought of my fare share of nasty prey while learning to scout. You lead the way!" She nodded to vetrius, moving forward as her paw lightly brushed athelia's. |

"No clue if its working yet, but we did make this!" Oryn presented him with a strange amulet- when Carnage took it it began to glow softly in his paw. --- Athelia ran alongside Carnival- impressed with her for keeping up with her long legged paces. The smell of sick animal grew strong as they approached the elk. "Careful!" Vetrius barked- the rest of the pack and Athelia slowed and split off to circle it. "Come with me!" Athelia brushed her tail against Carnival as she led them off in one direction- towards a small grassy outcropping that would give them a higher ground over the elk. |
