Archive. [ WELCOME ] The purpose of this thread is to -mainly- record events of the realm and the wolves that inhabit it. It will also host rules and roll systems I have in place that I use to enhance my gameplay. With that said, this thread has a strict no posting policy. Aging. In the realm of Argentjörd "wolves" do not age in the same manner as on earth. Not only are their life expectancy much longer than earth born canine they also mature at a slower pace. To archive this I made one roll over count as 4 months. This might seem a lot, but in the end it doesn't affect much in the grand scheme of things. The years on the planet where Argenjörd is located are much longer than that on earth. Due to this, the years are referred to as cycles, instead, while the age of the wolves is still counted in earth years. 1 RO = 4 months ROs (game age) = lore age 0 [Newborn] 0 . |

Pregnancy and Puppies. [ BREEDING AGE ] Due to my own methods of aging my wolves, they are not considered adults until they (in-game) are two years old. Meaning that even though females reach sexual maturity at the IG age of one they will not have their first litter/s before the age of two. The same goes for males, obviously. This doesn't affect non-lore wolves as they are, well, not according to lore. ╍ ╍╍ ╍╍╍ ╍╍ ╍ [ LITTER SIZES ] A random number will decide how many puppies are born in a single litter. The in-game litter size is also taken into account. For example, one and two pup litters will not be rolled for litter size. I will decide which puppies get to stay based on superficial factors. Extras will be yeeted into the void (not to the bear) to keep the lineages in my control as much as possible. One pup (very common): 50% (roll 1 to 50) Two pups (common): 25% (roll 51 to 75) Three pups (uncommon): 10% (roll 76 to 85) Four pups (rare): 8% (roll 86 to 93) Five pups (very rare): 6% (roll 94 to 99) Six pups (extremely rare): 1% (roll 100) ╍ ╍╍ ╍╍╍ ╍╍ ╍ [ PUPSITTING ] To make pup survival a bit more challenging parents have to watch their own puppies. Meaning that there will not be dedicated pupsitters around for parents to dump their saplings to. Also, as an extra treat, only one parent can watch the puppies at a time. Meaning that a pair cannot split their litter between themselves to boost their survival that way. Which parent gets to play the pupsitter is decided by case by case. Though lore reasons can allow this rule to be pended. For example, royal pair might give their young puppies to a maid or a older sibling can watch over their little siblings if the parents are unable to. . |

Incidents. [ INFO ] Incidents are player-rolled happenings and events that are meant to add more spice to WD gameplay. They're like the rollover summary events, but not rolled by the game itself. These incidents can range from harmful flavor text to life-changing events. The only limitation is the player's imagination. [ DAILY INCIDENTS ] Every day roll a number between 1 to 5. This will indicate how many incidents will happen that particular day. Now that you have a number for the daily incidents (ex. 4) now will be the time to roll the intensity for those incidents. There are 4 intensities for which an incident can be rolled for. I. Slice of life II. Drama III. Tragedy V. Nightmare Each worse than the other. The slice of life incidents tends to be the most light-hearted of the incidents (doesn't mean that they cannot be sad or bittersweet though). Drama is a step to the worse from the slice of life incidents, but nothing extremely tragic. After them comes the tragedy. This is where things truly grow grim. And last, but not least, is the nightmare. As can be guessed by the name alone these incidents can be considered worst of all. Most often they involve many wolves at once and induce great tragedy in their wake. Drama: 41 to 80 Tragedy: 81 to 95 Nightmare: 96 to 100 . |

Sicknesses & Injuries. [ IN GAME ILLNESESS] If a wolf gets sick they get rolled a day amount they are sick until they can be cured. This can mean that wolves may die due to sickness if the days overlap with hp loss. Diseases not listed below are cured immediately. Wolves that hit 0 HP before getting cured are considered to be dead. Deadly in-game -4 HP loss 1-10 day roll Heatstroke Deadly in-game. -4 HP loss 1-10 day roll Hepatitis Not deadly in-game -6 HP loss 1-10 day roll Distemper Deadly in-game. -6 HP loss 1-10 day roll Influenza Not deadly in-game -6 HP loss 1-10 day roll Pox Not deadly in-game -6 HP loss 1-10 day roll Note: Because puppies die immediately next rollover they are instead rolled with a simple 50/50 for survival/death. Order of Wellness. [ Nourishment (hunger) ] It is only natural that in a world where strict hierarchies are commonplace among the wolf colonies that it would affect the wellness of the individuals living in it. The higher ranks get more opportunities for nourishment than those below them. In times of great need and famine, you can even see the less fortunate simply starving away. α Alpha class - up to 100% β Beta class - up to 100% γ Gamma class - up to 80% δ Delta class - up to 80% ε Epsilon class - up to 80% ζ Zeta class - up to 60% η Eta class - up to 60% θ Omega class - up to 40% The values may be influenced if the wolf in question is ill, lost, or otherwise affected by food consumption penalties. [ Morale (mood) ] Like nourishment morale also affects the lives of the wolves. Higher ranked wolves have more opportunities to receive morale-boosting activities and generally have much better support systems than their lower classed counterparts. Wolves with low morale may be α Alpha class - up to 100% β Beta class - up to 100% γ Gamma class - up to 80% δ Delta class - up to 80% ε Epsilon class - up to 80% ζ Zeta class - up to 60% η Eta class - up to 60% θ Omega class - up to 40% [ Values ] The above values are considered to be the default ones. However, there are bonuses and penalties that can affect them. Usually only temporarily. Wolves that run away are considered deceased. If the wolf ran away because of hunger they starved to death while mood related leavings will result in a death roll. . |
