Dagari coined terms are slashed
Wolven terms are normal
Clan-specific terms are bolded
Non-Specific are underlined

Ayaria - Dagarian homelands

Adder Wolves - A nickname for the growing numbers of dagari-wolf offspring, greatly dislikened in wolf clans because it akins such hybrids to wolves themselves.

Ahoaniu - A dagari, usually a tribe or group leader who is polyamorus with multiple mates that usually co-lead their group or pack. (It's also a jumbled translation of Hawaiian for 'love many' :)

Alpha - A traditional wolf clan's leader, usually male.

Azer -  A wolven clan curse for mixed-blood wolf-kind.

Burning Wolves - Wolves with brightly, noticeably, or highly colored pelts. Technically their own species offshoot but I'm not talking about it ever, use your imagination

Divvadáe - (Dih-vah-dae) The god name for what has come to be known as the sacrificed brother of Moon Tears. Divided Claw has almost kindled a cult-like gathering of worshippers for being the first of any wolf-kind known to inhabit an afterlife.

Ceremony of Departure - Or Ceremony of Flowers, as the nicer name; refers to the winter before a feme is a year old, where she leaves her natal clan in search of a mate to continue on her life with. After being adorned with a plain twine necklace; they are never to see their families again, instead taking residence in a Daze's natal clan.

Daze - Young male of courting age

Feme - A young female wolf

Kepler's Reaping - The incident in the Frostbite in which Kepler kidnapped the children of the CoIaW to train as soldiers for the Sapphire Expansion Regime.

Neophyte - A wolf no longer a pup, but not quite an adult.

Season - A year's time.

Silver Trials - The trials a daze must undergo to be deemed worthy of continuing the pack's blood with a mate. There are three; one of endurance, one of strength, and one of honor. Most Daze prepare all seasons for the next happenings of which.

The Colossal - A term that refers to the nearly unsurpassable forests ranging far north west that separate Dagari and Wolven homelands.

The Conceal - A claimed stretch of ocean in the middle, with waters as black as night and sky miserably fogged and grey.. It seems to take an eternity to cross, for the few who dare. Most are never seen after the shore.

Tricamp - Winter rendezvous for hunting consistency. This is a system used under other names by all wolf kind.

The World After - The idea of the afterlife. Very few can flit between living and dead, but the sacrifice of Divided Claws made all aware of the possibility

Quieting - The phase in which temperatures drop to such an extreme that Dagari hibernate to conserve resources. Rarely happens in wolven lands.

Undergrowth - A series of passageways beneath the forests of iceclan that open up to a lush underground world where both predator and prey are plentiful. These systems never see the sun, and are not known to most outside of Ice Clan.

Wending - Term used for marking aging. Normal wolves and Dagari have three; as a pup, an adolescent, and an adult.

Wending Trials - A ceremony used by the clan for pups becoming adolescents to determine what their place in the hierarchy will be. Passing all trials means the contestant will go on to become a Greater Hunter; hunting in the forests and plains, passing most means that the contestant will be a Lesser Hunter, a hunter of the Undergrowth.

Fourth Wending - The leader's ceremony. Becoming a leader is seen as a fourth coming of age because of the shift in responsibilities and powers that come with being in charge, similar to how a pup becomes responsible for their safety in neophyte training, a neophyte becomes responsible for their packmates in adulthood.

Wolf-kind - All canid descendants encompassed; HOWEVER 'Wolves' also works and is used regularly.

Watcher - Confidants of CoI&W's leader. Allowed to come and go as they please, should they please, and may override various orders from the leader themselves.

Current Event:

Year 15 - Ashes to Ashes After the death of Sunstriss, Fireclan is destabilized and in dire need of help, which the victimized Ice Clan would be in no position to give if not for the death of Celestica. Being her natal clan, many think Devourer is more inclined to help them through their plight; but the new Fire-born leader seems to want nothing to do with them. A few old faces seem to change this disposition, but as unsteady aid pours in; so do the whispers. Devourer must be careful; especially in her new days as leader should she want to take control without objection.

Year 13 - The Boil

Year 6 - Frostbite - A period of ill strikes the clan. Unrest and starvation are immanent; already claiming victims in the season of plenty. Worse still, OSK finally takes an open stand against the aging queen. She vows to kill Moon Tears in order to usurp her connections with Divvadae. Although such a position seems insane and foolish; it isnt unfounded. The Sukio family have accumulated rumor and prestige to drive wolves to madness; believing in their holiness. These wolves rally around OSK in the yearning for power; the safety of the world after. A wolf known as Whiteness; growing notorious for quite a time; concludes that blood is the best way to reach the dead. As Divvadae's ascending occurred as a pup; the group steals to bring new ones up in his name; offerings; as well as warriors for their cause, should they not be blessed with death; in the kidnapping known as Kelper's Reaping. The clan is destabilized, and challenged more then ever; stand strong, or die.

After uncanny beginnings; the encroach of Sukio's hybrid children accumulates rumor and fame alike; Moon Tears finding herself in league with wolf-kind who look to her for new lives; when she already has her own to care for.  Picking up her heels, she begins her journey into leadership; establishing a following in the deciduous forests of the east, while her brothers tend to the mountains and tundra alike. Dagari groups of the area especially are fast to make neutralities with her.

Year 1

Politics

With family likeness; the siblings remain in close contact. Should problems arise, aid is a possibility. Sukio and Silverwing reside in the mountains with River Tail, but move between the clans frequently.
The seasons are very quiet, though the impact will later be great; currently, the adari must first learn to survive in the unforgiving forests they have decided to call home. The wolves continue their cycles as usual, though legends persist about the murder of the Ruby Clan beta, stiring tension among the wolves.
Dagari groups take neutrally to these tales; rather not to bother with them unless the clans do so first, as they do not care for affairs outsides their own.

Character

  • Clear has a begrudging respect for the queen and her rise; which becomes a working relationship.

  • Gravel Brume takes work as a healer. Despite almost nil value in wolven clans; her line of skill is invaluable. The dead seem to believe so as well; as she knows things that no longer pass along the lips of the living.

  • Visions' destiny as a hunter is crushed alongsides her legs when she saves Shimmer from a cliff fall. Already spindly and weak-muscled; her spirits drop as she is forced to take up as a healing apprentice. Scorched Earth brings some cheer to her, being firey and hard-headed as she was once.

  • As her wolven blood and thick fur give her a domineering and confident stature alongsides her nature, Sukio finds social ease and leadership alongsides others. She and Shimmer become especially close; though are heartbroken to find themselves training in different groups.

  • Strife Snap; desperate to return to the life she knows as home despite being banished from it, convinces  Flying Wind; a male she has befriended, to surrogate for her in the hopes they can return to his clan. After this unsuccessful attempt, the two are awkward around one another during hunts.

  • Harrow Branch carries his weight in prey every night; quite capable despite his older age.

  • Moon Tears respects Snare's status from his now disbanded dagari group, and takes to his courting attempts. They enter the following year expecting

New Wolves

  • Moon Tears spends the winter of the previous season pregnant with Lament's pups; Visions and Sukio; who's eyes open in the spring, the first adder wolves of the forest.

  • Fallow Mark's sudden expectancy shows shortly after joining the clan. While the queen is tedious about it, she is allowed to stay, provided her pups belong to Iceclan. She has a litter of four.

  • Strife Snap becomes pregnant in the hopes that a wolven clan will accept her should she have puppies, but her single son, Blackened Winds, brings no hope when presented to the Sapphire Clan alpha.

Deaths

  • Health does not always prevail. In the inadequate seasons; Fallow Mark catches a plague; and by nursing, infects two of her pups. She forces Strife Snap to nurse her healthy children as she decays; isolated in darkness; her pups whimpering and coughing. She cannot comfort them as her body grows cold; choking on her own mucus. It is a harrowing death.

With a heavy-loyal inner circle and growing forces, the queen withdraws from the heart of clan affairs to allow the clan to grow on it's own rather then leading the charge; and grow it does. The clan handles several litters of the year, some of the first ever native Iceclan wolves. The group is still more akin to a large family rather then clan, with equal power division as the wolves struggle to keep their heads up in the forest. The queens parents, Sukio and Silver Wing; take residence in the clan for a year to meet their grandchildren. The beasts of the forest do not take kindly to strong wolven numbers.

Year 2

Politics

The wolven clans scrimmage amongst themselves. Though it has already passed the clan by, a strange sickness flows through the wolven lands because of a rising class of dagari merchants who begin to bridge their communities. Pups, especially, are taken early by this diease. The migration of dagari from wolf-territory mountains continues; more groups settle in the forest, leading to territory conflicts. Solarclan is pushed into the mountains.

Character

  • Snare, Wet Wing, Moon Tears. - When the ahoaniu falls back on Lament and Hajj to help raise their step-children instead of Snare himself; his jealousy grows, a flaw Moon Tears remembers of him. While they keep their public discourse to minimum, things are unrestful for a time. Meanwhile, Since the first time she laid eyes on him, it was clear Wet Wing had a blatant attachment for Snare. Though unwelcoming at first, with this test he begins to reciprocate.. after a time of flirting in Short-sun, however, they seem set on avoiding one another. As a pressured Moon Tears allows him privy to her grief, he returns to her supportive command. He becomes more diligent thereafter, and their trust grows immensely.

  • Irregular - is not often home; but when she is, she's unrestful and jumpy with goofy smiles on her odd face. She smells of wolf and wears courtship bands, but no other clan life seems to reciprocate. It was guessed she didnt know what the processes symbolized; being dagarian and unorthodox, until she entered the clan with  a clear eyed, quiet blue male at her side. She danced around him with smiles and tail brushes; as a male wolf would do when announcing a mate to his natal clan.

  • With Sukio in tatters and nursing alone, Visions' return marks a new start for the sisters. They rear her pups together and regrow their old bond as eachother's biggest supporters. Meanwhile, Visions leaves the clan to persue death. She makes an appearance in dagari clans across the forest, fighting for lives and teaching medicinry. She acquires respect and knowledge; returning home to the clan despite her heart belonging to a wolf who travels the world as she wants. During this time, she learns the art of prophecy.

  • The grey healer and her mate recieve news that Clear's granddaughter, September Midday has been left parentless. When she returns with the scrap of a fall colored pup, the two set about as her mothers. Clear's Midday practices daily alongaides the older protegee, Scorched Earth. The two are noted as some of the most fueled wolves of the clan, bold and strong.

  • The leader herself takes interest in training Petrichor Smoke, a wolf nearly killed by his former kind. He comes back bruised and exhausted by day to be looked after by the healer, shadowed by the swift footed Blushing River.

New Wolves

  • The queen has a litter of six to Snare; though as many groups brace for hardship; all but one pup is lost, her daughter, Phantom.

  • Sukio has a litter of seven in disgrace of a failed courtship.

  • The very young Open Sky has her son just after joining the clan for asylum.

  • Irregular and a new male wolf by the name of Snowing Gentle carry four more adder wolves for the clan

  • Strife Snap decidedly produces a second litter for the same purposes; but once again turned away from her natal clan she cares less for her resulting sons, of which there are two.

Deaths

  • Though it was not his time; it was a death he would have preferred; Harrow Branch is struck by a bear in defending his kill and the young wolf, Scorched Earth. Both parties suffer vicious wounding; but in the end the young male cant save him in time.

  • Wet Wing runs into trouble along the north wolven border. Though she runs rather then fight, her blood still stains the earth before she can make it back to the clan. She thinks of her son in the end, though this is lost on Clear, who finds her. Oddly, Sukio sits with her body as it is allowed passage to the dead world in the clan.

  • Strife Snap, long since acting troubled and in a constant fugue of disassociation, is taken one day in a hunt. Flying Winds is relieved their sons weren't around as witness, and he cleans her as best he can for presentation for when Midnight Wings and Settling Thunder must learn the truth.

Year 3

Politics

The problem of disappearances seems universal as every clan, pack and group under the sun shares stories of missing clanmates, lovers, and leaders.. A strange dagari pack reaches out from the far mountains, taking the side of the clan in hopes to defend from accusation, though no one has heard their name before this season. Their numbers are thin; and ancient; they share knowledge about The Abyss deity, Bronagh; the imprint of a queen who lost her children. It is Phantom who collects the knowledge, takes the ritual, and ultimately gives in sacrifice her pups in pure empathy for a queen without. With her pups suddenly missing with no other wolf to back her reasoning; there is a scandal of infanticide.

Character

  • Haze and Midnight Wings grow close as they work in pairs. Though fighting at first, they eventually find commonality before causality. It's obvious to everyone but them that they've fallen in love; though when they realize; they plan to elope; young and rebellious.

  • Another pair of lovers arises, as the gentle Fantasia takes a paw in rearing Tangerine Mold, the uncanny name for Open Sky's son. Though even more unalike then the previous two mottled wolves; one being an ahoaniu's former mate and the other a former clan wolf, they grow an odd but sweet bond that renders another litter.

  • Irregular makes frequent ventures to wolven territory under disapproving watch of Clear. Despite deterring efforts, she does not stop; eventually causing a fight between former mentor and neophyte when she takes the scrap of Prisma to raise within the clan.

  • Petrichor Smoke, the queen's neophyte, has graduated into an unusual realm of power. He's quite unlike other wolves, thought to have something to do with the ending of Bronagh's plagues. His pelt grows in green, and his once punctured eyes are a sickly yellow, but he is respected.

  • The hunting group of the Dawn Chase begins to bicker as times grow harsh..

  • Moon Tears respects Snare's status from his now disbanded dagari group, and takes to his courting attempts. They enter the following year expecting

New Wolves

  • Open Sky and Fantasia have a very small litter after multiple attempts and struggles with fertility; bringing about a single, strangely colored adder wolf; Open Sky. She opens her eyes very quickly.

  • Sand Shifter and Sukio take to courting for a season, eventually producing a lone she-pup; Fig.

  • Haze becomes grounded when she realizes she's expecting the children of her and Midnight Wings.

Deaths

  • Tragically, Haze suffers a traumatic birth and her second pup causes her to bleed to death; but her son, Impulse, survives.

A year of plenty, and a year of golden fur and good hunting; it seems as though the clan's toil and specialization is paying off. New interest in social hieararchy things Unity flows through the forest. A time of peace after strife; or so it would seem. Moon Tears receives word from Fire Claw that their father has died; and rituals around grief arise. She visits Divided Claw's grave for solace. Visions, after years of careful practice and craftsmanship, finally delivers the prophecy of the clan's legacy after Moon Tears lays to rest.

Year 4

Politics

A year of recooperation and hard effort places the names of the Clans in the winds of the wolven world. Many wolves tangle with death after a harsh year. With an already great force between the siblings and their followings; unease grows in the wolven clans of the mountains at passing tales of these new.. azer clans. Murders of their kind? Wolves living with dagari? Ones who could live beyond their last breath? Were clanless planning on attacking the clans with the aid of cannibals? Their numbers thin for the year, to divide and conquer. More wolves are sent out in the Ceremony of Departure in attempts to grow clan numbers faster. The Silver Trials curate more winners. The mountain folk must not fall to these developing newcomers.

Character

  • Open Sky's Kepler is a rising prodigy in the clan, naturally talented and ominously silent with dark fur. The queen seems to be keeping an eye on her; which is almost exactly what the young wolf wants for herself.

  • Prisma often strikes off on their own, perhaps with April by their side. Their nature seeps into the young wolf, making them obnoxious.

  • Bickering often ensues between the hunters of the above ground and the hunters of the lower; namely in the Storm Trio and September Midday when rivaling April, Snowing Gentle, and Eclipse.

  • Lavender Helmi is not often one to leave the camp, and seems lonely.

  • Impulse and Frozen River train side by side, making one another stronger day by day. Impulse is a naturally shy wolf, while Frozen River lords his father's charm.

  • Harrow Branch carries his weight in prey every night; quite capable despite his older age.

  •   The queen spends a more generous amount of time with her apprentice, disappearing with him more frequently as he amounts more responsibility in the clan; working as a well oiled machine. These disappearances keep the queen on the downlow more then ever; though a whisper runs through the older wolves about her bulging frame, and the company of her mate Hajj.

  • Clear disappears into the cliff, very abruptly, and cannot be seen for weeks; incredibly erratic for the older wolf, especially when she's rarely ever in camp. Gravel Brume grows noticeably anxious.

New Wolves

  • Irregular brushes furs with Snowing Gentle, once again pregnant, she weans a simple litter during the spring; a snowy grey pup with blue-toned fur and her sky-colored brother. Incandescence is anxious and sweet while her brother is extroverted and expressive.

  • Moon Tears finally settles down in the summer, but doesn't take to maternalism as in previous years. Her first surviving son is a deep warm grey like his father, with the calling of Purgatory. Fewer wolves take notice of Jinx, appearing like her mother. She is a disoriented pup.

  • replace

Deaths

  • No deaths are had this year.

With Iceclan's infamy comes a swell of wolves as well as the contendance of intruding Dagari groups; and the surgance of power dynamics. Kinship is diminished as mouths to feed become many, the forest slims; forcing branches with neighboring territories. The wolves' tactics have paid off; the mountain folk have several numbers at their side, mongered with the fear of the clans. White Wolf, the alpha of Sapphire Clan, is a rumored name, seemingly leading Sapphire clan into the eastern valleys in order to take back the forests. They clash with dagari clans,  Ice Clan only grows stronger, wolves with toughened claws and teeth are born; but what cause do they fight for, in the wake of allegiances divided?

Year 5

Politics

blah blah blah corgireach it got deleted

Character

  • Kepler spends time with the young Foxglove, almost as though trying to shadow him for mentorship. Meanwhile, murmurs about her status and ability travel through the clan.

  • During a hunt one day, April comes upon an abandoned young pup and immediate claims him as their own, being dubbed 'April's Eclipse.'

  • The two sky-colored pups; Grotto of Secrets and Foxglove, are uncannily close. Everyone but themselves can see the deep crushes they have on eachother.

  • The storm trio and friends seem to split off into pairs, as September Midday is seen with Sun Canary, and Iced Sunrise with Settling Thunder. Midnight is left a lamenting widower.

  • Sukio and Visions grow close once again, very intent on keeping up with one another.

  • September Midday is regarded as one of the clan's highest hunters.

  • Hunting groups solidify now, with particular quick-witted wolves defending The Undergrowth of intrusion, and more physically skilled, fast and strong wolves scouring the open plains for prey.

  • Clear returns to the open with Gravel Brume. She travels less; a 7 year old in her sunset years. All of her journeys follow Gravel Brume in her duties. She's begun limping

New Wolves

  • Despite her partner and her unable to produce pups, Lavender Helmi becomes pregnant, producing New Day and Drowning Night, lovely

  • Moon Tears finally settles down in the summer, but doesn't take to maternalism as in previous years. Her first surviving son is a deep warm grey like his father, with the calling of Purgatory. Fewer wolves take notice of Jinx, appearing like her mother. She is a disoriented pup.

  • replace

Deaths

  • In defending the dagari couple nursing Troublemaker, an old Gravel Brume fights a cottonmouth, winning, but not before being struck twice. She dies in a number of hours. Clear doesnt leave her body for nearly two days, and grieves the death of her mate alone.

The ice cracks with tension. Finally, Kepler reveals her motives in playing the clan against themselves as the struggles of the previous year culminate in a famine; food disappears in the mysterious cold. The sun is bright, heads are hot and stomachs rumble, but at least the enemy is finally in sight. Together, it is the forces of Kepler and the once mountain-wolf Sapphire Clan against Iceclan. When she takes her reaping; many young lives are lost; in the end repayed with her own, but even this victory is at a cost. Though Foxglove forces the air from her lungs; decisively ending her terror, the one untouchable Moon Tears has been well and truely destabilized by the ambition of her enemies; and after her daughter's foretellings, she dedicates herself to finding a worthy heir.

code by #202

Year 6

Politics

White Wolf and his forces openly draw on attack, plaguing the clan left and right on empty stomachs; determined to wipe them from the forests, but still they persist. Famine is present throughout the lands; even the Clan's sister groups cannot help them as they're left to fend for themselves. The air is constantly tense, no wolf dares to travel alone. Blood and bodies haunt them through every venture, not stopping at home where wolves keel over of hunger. Many a life is taken, all across the lands.

Character

  • Foxglove is manipulated into assisting Kepler into raiding the Clan's nursery. She steals barely weaned pups from their nests and joins with allies of White Wolf to retreat into the mountains, preparing for battle.

  • Sky Catcher becomes a good queen, guilt bodying him deeply; he protects the pups that remain with his life.

  • Jinx can rarely be spoken to. Already delirious with hunger, it would seem the young wolf is constantly off in her own world, rarely conscious and training for anything. That is, until Phoenix arrives. Little by little, she seems to return to wakefulness.

  • Scorched Earth mentors Nesting Osprey, and while not the closest bond ever, the cocky neophyte finally gets him to confess to Sky Catcher about his feelings for him, a little match maker. They spent cold winters huddled close suffering; but in love.

  • Iced Sunrise and her mate are notably distant, though they do their best to present happy faces to the rest of the clan.

  • Grotto of Secrets turns to a path of queenhood; both because of her sister's Reaping and a talk with Lavender Helmi, a permanant queen. They become friends.

  • Harrow Branch carries his weight in prey every night; quite capable despite his older age.

  •   Fig noticeably dissasociates from affiliation with Kepler, but in the end, it doesnt matter.

  • The cold is tough on the bodies of older wolves; and though no Quietings occur, they are not far off; bodies and minds weak and starved.

  • Starling and Purgatory grow close, almost courting before times grow harsh.

New Wolves

  • Moon Tears falls pregnant by Hajj a second time, having only one child in the bare season, Nesting Osprey; who is very good natured and wise. He seems less humbled then the rest of the clan in times of few.

  • Incandescence was courted by Frozen River, though after pup season, he loses interest. She weans a single pup, Winter's Breath, who she and her mother love deeply.

  • Sukio and Sand Shifter welcome another single litter into the world; Archangel, born in the endgame of the Frostbite. She's a shy, thick-furred pup. Her father takes special care of her.

  • September Midday and Sun Canary expect their first and only litter, a little lovely red pup by the name of Fire Running is born, deeply resembling September herself. She takes to motherhood like her own adoptive mother Clear; treating her son as a mentor rather then a parent.

  • Phantom and Midnight Wings have an attempt at rekindling what they have lost in their lives. They expect puppies at the beginning of the Frostbite year, having a son they call Sölséh.

  • Blushing River and Petrichor Smoke wean Soft Dream near the end of the Frostbite, relieved at the return of prey to raise the little white pup healthy and strong.

Deaths

  • Incandesence is killed trying to defend the pups from Kepler's reaping. She hid them to confront Kepler; her neck slashed in an instant.

  • Dark Horse's appearance changes after she's born, and many notice she doesnt smell like Iced Sunrise as she begins to leave the nursery. She's very weak of sickness and starvation, with delayed speech development, and ultimately dies before her third wending, untrained. Iced Sunrise retires from hunting thereafter.

  • Winter's Breath and Wire are taken during the reaping.

  • Sky Catcher gives his life for the pups he looks after, one evening going across the clearing to pick up bone marrow scraps they can suckle on; only to drop dead of starvation himself.

  • Scorched Earth takes grief harshly in older years, eventually dying of hypothermia shortly after his mate during a nighttime hunt.

  • Settling Thunder is killed by Sapphire Clan wolves. His brothers and mate grieve him.

  • Despite living through suffering after suffering; Clear's old body begins to fail her as it thins, ribs gripping out of unkempt fur. She keels in the middle of the camp and doesnt rise again, buried by Visions and her two daughters.

  • Sun Canary falls ill to influenza, barring himself from seeing his clanmates, though September Midday can be seen distressed pacing outside of his confinement before he dies. It's unknown how long he lasts, but as winter approaches, his den falls silent, and he's taken for burial.

  • Tangerine Mold is taken by starvation despite Open Sky's efforts to keep her son eating. He dies in her nest, waiting for her to return from a hunt.

Recovering seasons do not leave Moon Tears for any better. Though her clan heals, her strength is sapped moon by moon. Aged; Silvery and wizened treat her kindly in years, but even the clan now recognizes the queen is in her winter seasons. Many of her watchers are old or dead as well, as well as many who remember the glory days, but whispers are quiet about what the clan will do when she dies. Many don't want to ponder it after the events of the year prior. Many a pup is born into a very quiet, brumal year as the clan is finally allowed to rest on their laurels for a time.

Year 7

Politics

The mountain folk Sapphire Clan falls under the absence of White Wolf, creating a flood of wolven Refugees, which hoping to avoid the victorious Iceclan; either retreat into the mountains as loner wolves or join with Fireclan. The west side of the mountains grows quiet in absence of conflict and battle; even the other wolven clans notice, and take unease to Moon Tears and Iceclan. The winter this year is still noticably cold; though the prey begins to return. Fewer starvations are had, all clans begin picking themselves back up.

𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐞𝐭

Character

  • Moon Tears and Petrichor Smoke grow closer. Having officially named him as her beta, they converse often about the future of the clan.

  • Foxglove's contributions to triumph gets him officially recognized as a Watcher; for his commanding prowess. He and the rest of the clan learn to forgive eachother for their assumptions and hurt; although Grotto and him grow ever distant because of this.

  • Phoenix and Jinx are mated. The Clan knows times will better because of the samsara wolf; the blessed two teach about Divvadae's gifts known as Charma; and he is graced easily into the clan.

  • Lavender Helmi and Prisma write love letters throughout the clan to one another.

  • Grotto of Secrets, Lavender Helmi, and a few others take a new role of Soft Queens as the pups of this year are in grave danger of the elements; giving up rearing pups of their own to care for the pups of others.

  • Irregular spends her older years in grief of her daughter. She lost everyone in the Frostbite.

  • Lament and the queen become close again in older years. He spends time rallying the queens to watch carefully over every pup after last year; feeling intense guilt over the reaping incident. He's very excited for the grandpups of his daughter and step-daughter.

  • September Midday and Iced Sunrise bond in grief, becoming more like best friends then they have in years.

New Wolves

  • Finally, after years of sacrifice; obstacle, and finally, allignment, Jinx gives birth to two male pups; the second sun heir, and his brother.

  • The feme couple are blessed by the stars after a long season of abandonment, Lavender Helmi and her partner Prisma fall pregnant, producing Spectrum and Kaleidescope.

    Deaths

    • The Spine Queen Lament lays his head to rest after telling the children one last story. Moon Tears asks him to walk with her to the stream of their youth, but he says it's a journey for a later date. He takes to her nest, and never wakes up.

    • The wolf Sand Shifter has served the clan since his early days; growing old in years himself; he's started to go blind; and eventually takes a fatal fall during a hunt in the undergrowth.

Spring comes with kindness, the ice is melting, even if it is still cold. New litters are had to replace what is lost, and Moon Tears is strong on her heels; though ever slow, in present years. The legs of her watcher council begin to slow, and discussion is had about elder wolves; and what will happen when it is time for them to let go. The rank of queen is recognized, as wolves begin training specifically for domestic purposes to help the Clan have a snowbank to fall back on when they suffer again. Moon Tears is proud with these final changes; happily securing the legacy that she knows her grandson will inherit. She knew he would succeed her from the moment she met him; that wintry night, and goes peacefully back into the darkness.

Year 8

Politics

Celestica; being named his grandmother's heir; walks the mountains to complete the Fourth Wending trial to get Divvadae to acknowledge him as the new leader of Iceclan. The clan is presently unsure, and anxious: The wolven mountains are crawling with displaced wolves from Sapphire Clan; who often band together in groups, and continue to harrass Iceclan. With this contributing to the tension between the mountain-folk clans and adder clans;  Celestica's first act of business involves a negotiation between Iceclan and the leaders of the wolven clans; resulting in the Herm of Acknowledgement; wherein the plains become no-man's land, and should any wolf cross the Herm from their respective territory; they acknowledge that they are at the mercy of whoever is to find them.

  • Lightless is presented into the clan as a owed debt from a dagari group. She assimilates well; becoming a valuable mentor and huntress, and Celestica makes her a watcher while simultaneously trying to avoid their feelings.

  • Lavender Helmi and Prisma write love letters throughout the clan to one another.

After what feels an eternity of quiet, spring-time puppies seem to be extra loud in these years, with fast strong legs. Iceclan slowly grows back it's losses; and new bonds are made among the clan's wolves to fill the absences from those taken by hardship, well-rounded by a new leader. The dying tales of the clan gain new life; and many venture near and far to witness a blossoming clan, and it's holy leader, Celestica. As tales are prone to be, wonderings of religion and reincarnation circulate about such a proud specimen, rounding new interest and relations in Dagari groups.

Year 9

Politics

Curiously, the brother of Moon Tears is finally murdered after a brutal territory struggle; and a conflict occurs in Fireclan with having no named heir. The main contenders are his son; Wind Dancer, and Sunstriss, a powerful dagari outsider with a supporting group. Celestica frequents Fireclan to help settle the outbreak of his kin, with the intention to instil his capable cousin as the leader; but Wind Dancer is killed by Sunstriss' faction, leaving him the leader and souring the once strong alliance with Iceclan. Celestica does his best to remain neutral to Wind Dancer's regime; where blood has begun to spill, in the hopes to spare his own Clan from breaking the peace yet again.
Meanwhile, the mountain folk are satisfied with the Acknowledgement, and respect this new leader's standing. Dagari groups move north, following hunting grounds.

Character

  • While Petrichor Smoke carried from the queen's reign as the beta; he bows out to allow Bismuth to take the standing, a proud, capable young wolf very loyal and close with his brother.

  • The previous number of scavangers and loners dwindle from the bordering mountain territory; meaning there's no need for the Iceclan lower hunters to continue to search for intrusion.

The sun is bright on the Iceclan forests, many wolves run their noses deep into their companion's pelts with a very active courting season these years; as many foreigners mingle with their places in the clan; unfamiliar, but adjusting. Hot-headed young friends may venture into the wild, only to come back lacking an eye or toe. The elder wolves bow their heads and exit. The new Woundele divulge into literate-marked graves and innovation is to be had with the wolf diaspora that ripples through the clan to a golden year of technology.

The clan endures on in peace and prosperity for a time as tensions are allowed to cool between the kin clans of fire and ice. But as Celestica's reign and power draws in winter years; the future once again becomes uncertain. Like in times long before; suddenly, wolves are going missing in thick clouds of mysterious fog and wisps of light and smoke. There is talk of the curse that befell the abyss beyond The Colossal has decided to take hold on wolven lands; but the truth of such must be kept on hold as wolves off all alliances fight to stay afloat.

Year 14

Politics

There is a murmur in the clan that Celestica has no true heir. Although Delta holds strong as his beta; its a well known matter that when the day comes that he returns to the stars; she will step down to allow someone more worthy in her place. Wolves have vyed for the position time and time again; the clan has spoken about the resident deities; would Paroxysm or Exult take up his mantle? Senior members such as Blind Spots or Lightless? But alas, he seems to be waiting on a sign from the outside; begining to walk the path of his successor before finding her final rest..

Character

  • Combustion seems the lonely sort. Recently grown and a wolf of skill, he seems to still be doting on the missing ginger wolf. Nobody seems to have told him that Entropy; the traveling daughter of Celestica, has gone in her own ways; unlikely to ever be seen again.

  • Fireclan tensions once again begin to rise. Taking advantage of the strange mist and fear, the clan braces for skirmish more often then ever in years.

  • With a sharply tied knot between the generation that remembers a young Celestica and the generation that have recently gotten their names; hunting parties have growing disarray.

  • River Strider nests with Delta often under the sharp eye of Pale Gaze.

  • Penchant becomes friends with Exult's younger adopted son; Antichrist. They often go for walks with Penchant guarding him as he carries out medical gathering.

  • Living Mice continues her writing in the deepest depths beneath the caves. She's begun muttering to someone who isn't there, growing senile and rather blind. Pups of this day are afraid of her.

  •   The notorious Devil's Ivy stinks of wolf; appearing home one day with a very handsome male by her side, silent and defensive. Nobody would dare make a move on him when he guards her day and night.

  •   Celestica's kin face a blow as they wake up one morning, unable to find his eldest daughter; Flatiron. Via message left with the scripter Living Mice, the clan learns she left to be with her mate.

Deaths

  • Witching faces his end at the hands of a spectre of his dead sister, OSK; whom he saw one unpleasant night. In fear, he chased after her in the aims to defend his clan, but plummeted into the undergrowth unprepared; his body never recovered

  • Though not dead, Paroxysm takes their leave when the mist hits, not to be seen by the clans for many generations, taking an aging Flatiron with him. Because of her mortality, it can be assumed that she died upon entering the Dreamlands in daylight; living between death and waking.

  • The sweet, childish White'se dies of natural causes, discovered by her friend Artemis. A silver song can be heard for many nights during that haunting fall.

  • Lightless is murdered by Sunstriss in defending her clan.

  • Living Mice is in her caves, writing scriptures only she understands. It has been a warm and wet spring; and the walls are very lose. As she rises from a bout of focus, a section of the ceiling breaks away and crushes her head and lungs; killing her instantly.
