The circus is in town!
One foggy morning in October, brightly colored tents were visible under the tree line. No flyers foretold their appearance, and no one in town had seen any strange vehicles carting in supplies. In fact, no one could even get in. Onlookers were forced to press their faces against a large gate that had not been there yesterday, hoping for a glimpse between the slats of wood.

On the entrance gate was a large poster that simply stated,
Circus Illumine
Opens at Sunset

Then, on a sheet of paper nailed to the right side of it,
Hiring
Oddities Welcome

Roleplayers are free to join either with an introductory paragraph or the following:

People interested are automatically in, feel free to start whenever. I am just interested in the concept of a dark and mysterious circus and I will base any future plot ideas on the initial vibe.

Things to keep in mind:
•You can have however many characters you want, just keep track of them. Regardless, please start with two at the maximum.
•You can be Human* with that little asterisk added on. I will only step in if I think it doesn't quite fit. Examples of things I'll allow is: Maybe the Freak Show has a real werewolf. Maybe the fortune teller knows the names of characters before they meet them. Maybe the ringmaster has a voice so booming and loud that they don't need a microphone. Maybe the ventriloquist always uses the dummy, so that the dummy feels more like real person.
•TLDR; do what you want, but keep it more on "weird" and "supernatural" rather than "powerful," you get me?? Our friends aren't superheroes, they're just a little unworldly.
•Of course, keep to Wolvden's set rules.

Responses only need to be the length you think is necessary. I'll try to meet whoever appears.

Characters will be kept track of in the next post.

Name of Character: Adrienne Ahaha
Age: 26
Gender: Female
Appearance: 5'6" and pear shaped. She wears long overalls and a turtleneck underneath it. Her makeup is pink and orange triangles on her pale skin, and her curly blonde hair puffs up around her head like a seeding dandelion.
Job on site: Clown / animal act. She has a small dog named Pats that's a mutt, but she would nearly pass as a English Cocker Spaniel. Pats is highly intelligent, to the point where she learns commands and people quickly.
Employed/New Hire: Been with the circus since childhood.
Other: Adrienne owns the clown car. In fact, she and her pup live in it. It's built like a fiat: all small and square. It's strangely large and spacious on the inside. Pats drives it.

Name of Character:
Theodorsia "Theo" Sybil Massey
---
Age:
28
---
Gender:
Female
---
Appearance:
Theo has a lithe figure, standing at 5'8" when she stands perfectly straight and weighing in at 116.2lbs. Her body shape can be described as a plank, with not very large hips nor bust. Her skin is a pale ivory, almost translucent looking in the right light. She doesn't have any defining features on her body, other than the few scars she has, the most noticeable being a large, jagged scar across the back of her left hand and a burn mark on her right shoulder. Her face is an oval in shape, elegantly curving from a wider forehead to her slightly pointed chin. Theo's lips are thin and a tone a bit darker, more pink than her skin (Think a light peach tone).
Her hair comes down in waves across her right shoulder, caramel brown locks spilling down from an layered asymmetrical haircut going from short semi-curls  on the left side of her face to long waves pouring from the right side of her head. It frames her face nicely, making her slightly angular cheekbones stand out a bit more. Theo's eyes are rounded-almond shaped, coming in a soft-toned amber , looking like a pool of honey on a clean countertop. Her eyes are fringed with doe like lashes in a light tone, making them not very visible without mascara.
Usually outside of shows, Theo wears plain t-shirt, black leggings, and tennis shoes. Nothing too fancy but it works pretty well- especially when she wears the few bits of jewelry she owns. During shows however, she wears a skintight green ombre leotard that fades from light green up top to forest green at the bottom, shining golden designs all over it. The leotard has a U-neck and covers from her collarbone to her wrists and all the way down to her feet, wrapping around the midsection and leaving her heel and toes out. When her makeup is done, it's rather simple. Her eyeshadow is in various shades of green like her outfit with glitter dusted across her cheeks and a light layer of both mascara and eyeliner.

Job on site:
Contortionist
---
Employed/New Hire:
She's been with the circus for about two years now
---
Other:
As a contortionist, her body bends in ways that are already considered amazing but Theo seems to be much more flexible than possible. Her fingers are also double jointed and can bend back far enough that the touch the back of her hand.

((More people can still join and EyelessPyro can start at their leisure~
I will just set the scene.))

It was heading toward golden hour on the first day in the town of Stopwick. A town that, like many others across the us, was historical brick buildings surrounded by fields of corn and cows and forests. A perfect sort of place Adrienne thought was a worthy way of falling into the changes of October.

As she made her way down the dirt paths of the circus grounds with her pup at her heels, Adrienne watched the warm lights going across the tents grow brighter and brighter. They cast a warm glow across the faces of her fellow performers and elongated some shadows that were already too long. She came to the front of the gate, an area designed like the spokes of a wheel with a large open space and multiple paths to go deeper into the circus. The opening bonfire in the center was catching. The air teased the first scents of nearby cotton candy and popcorn booths. A crackle of their old audio system stumbled into a jolly calliope tune. And then, in the distance, was the confused and excited chatter of the public beyond the gates.

The opening bonfire roared suddenly as the last hints of the red sun disappeared over the horizon. A tall woman appeared, easily over seven feet, ducking under the door of a striped tent to the right of the gate. She wore the traditional red of the Ringmaster, adorned with golds and maroons. Her proportions were strange. Adrienne had originally thought that she was always leading the performances from stilts. The ringmaster simply didn't need them.

She gathered her nearby performers around her like dutiful ducklings. They stood excitedly around her as their leader undid the barrier between them and dozens and dozens of curious onlookers. Then, as elegantly as a harvestman, the ringmaster stepped back and gave them all a full view of the circus.
"Welcome to Circus Illumine!"

They came in at once, a mass of limbs and eyes lit by firelight. Adrienne picked up her little dog Pats and disappeared into the crowd.
