I'm not sure if this is where to put this but I was creating a world for a series I'm working on and decided to set it up for my friends and I to use for our Pack lore and roleplaying. Then I figured why not share it with everyone :)

This is the world being crafted for my own pack and some friends and if you'd like to use this set up and lore, feel free! If you have any questions or want some elaboration, just DM me to be sure I see it :3!

/////////////////////////////

THE WORLD:

The Earth is a place that is watched by supernatural entities. As it changed and grew, the fae crafted their own world, a mirror universe, to keep those who were lost and who were hunted upon Earth safe.

When some of these fae saw how animals were dying out, going extinct, or being killed for sport, they chose to save them as well. With their magic, they created a small universe of diverse biomes, like a world kept in a bottle. So that these animals may life, thrive, and even evolve to be smarter and stronger through the magic the fae and their world provide.

The amount of biomes grows with each passing year, more animals being brought to them while others are transported when an older biome grows too populated.

These worlds are ever changing, vast, and not entirely earthly as the magic that resides within them makes them different, even as the nature within them is copied from Earth. Other creatures not from Earth can also come to live within the biomes if they so choose or are brought there to be saved as well.

BIOMES:

Each biome contains multiple types of territory for wolves to inhabit. From deserts, to oceans, to thick forests and even cave dwellings inside mountains, the biomes are vast and interesting. They are filled with other animals as well, prey and other predators that work with the wolves to keep harmony and natural flow within each type of territory.

The amount of packs within a biome can be as little as two to as many as you can add.

Biomes tend to be situated like a giant circle, cut into slices of different nature and territory. Within the middle of these slices is where the council resides.

Each biome provides all things the wolves and other creatures will need but they must still hunt, eat, and thrive on their own merit.

WOLF LORE:

Each pack can contain from 4 to 200 wolves.

Each pack has one lead wolf and one secondary wolf to help lead the pack. While there will also be one male who acts as a main breeding stud for unpaired wolves, wolf pair bonds happen often and result in a more varied pack lineage. Pair bonds can be between any gender of wolf.

Each wolf falls into a category:

Hunter
Guardian
Wanderer
Healer

The hunters provide food, caring for each other in groups as they go out to find enough to bring home to the pack.

Guardians watch the pups, keep them safe through their training and help the elderly wolves as well, bringing them their food and keeping their dens clean.

Wanderers are those who expand the territory, those that search out beyond the borders and discover all the places within the biome to be found.

Healers create medicine and sniff out illness, spending their days looking for herbs for their mixes and learning more about the world.

Wolves who are unable to work within these categories, either from sickness or age or any other reason, are simply looked at as the pack heart. They provide warmth, stories, love, and a way for the pack to bond. These wolves tend to keep close to the den, do what they can, and help to provide joy and peace to the others.

Normal wolf communication and actions still thrive within the wolves. However, due to living in a magic based world for so long, they've evolved other ways as well, sometimes blending the methods of other animals into their shows of affection.

Wolves in biomes containing large cats and the like have started purring and grow longer thinner tails. Wolves with large amounts of elk and deer have started growing antlers and will fight with them. Wolves with bears in their territory have grown thicker claws so that they may climb trees.

Within the biomes, packs are always evolving to thrive within their territory.

THE COUNCIL:

Each pack provides one who will join the council. This council are wolves who are blessed to hear and understand the words of the fae that created the biomes. These wolves are chosen to be a line of communication. They are given longer lives, eyes opened through magic, and they provide the information the packs need.

If a pack is large enough, it may provide two council members in total but never more than that and there must be many wolves for this to happen.

Every full moon, the packs conviene at the center of all territories to speak with the council. This is where they speak of their troubles, their wins, and hold peace among all to find a way to work together within the world.

This monthly meeting is also where the fae will hear the problems and try to provide solutions or bring more to the biomes through the council members.

If news is to be brought to the wolves from the fae, for wisdom or anything else, the council will give word to the pack they belong to.

The council is also there to provide the true names for each wolf. When a pup finishes their training and hits their first year, they travel to the council to be given a name from the fae. One blessed by their magic, one that fits the wolf and the way of life they will fulfil for the pack.

WORLD LORE:

The fae are not known to the wolves, instead they are seen as gods and the souls of wolves since passed. The council know much of magic, of their world, but the fae do not reveal themselves as they are.

Instead they show themselves to each council member as a wolf they have known, they whisper to them in the language of the gods (their own language or elvish words) that the council members alone can understand.

Because of this, the messages passed along can be seen as prophecy or legend instead of simple fact.

Pack communication varies from biome to biome. In some, all packs live in peace and have harmony through all things. In others, packs live as enemies, only coming together in peace during council meetings and otherwise being vicious about their territory lines.

Additions of other supernatural creatures, wolf evolutions, and other outside elements can be added for your own lore needs, however those that are added must not be fully aware of the fae. (( Or if they are aware and you do not want the fae to impact the story like they are seen as gods, then you may need to tweak how your councils will work.))

Packs can be customized to fit your ideas but common practices that can be used include:

Nomadic Heats: unbonded wolves can travel to other territories in heat season to meet and mate before returning home. This helps to add variety to pack bloodlines. ((for players who use status outside of their own pack))

Pup Training: these rituals and customs can be varied and vast but pups who have been weaned up until they are old enough to be named could go through any number of training or pack specific rituals.

Moon Following: Each new cycle of the moon can mean many things for the pack. Outside of the council meetings on the full moon, the other phases of the moon could mean any number of things for the pack and they can have rituals, parties, or any other fun things with each new phase.

PACK TERRITORY:

Each pack is given plenty of space to thrive within. However, each territory changes how those wolves live.

Packs that live within mountains and caves tend to prefer the darkness, they burrow more than they run and hunts can happen underground with hunters creating traps to lure prey into holes where they cannot escape.

Packs that live in open desert spaces will grow coats that work to cool their bodies and they can last longer spans of time without water. Their paws also evolved to allow them to run across hot surfaces with ease.

Packs in dense forests have better hearing and have learned to use the trees for their own needs. Hiding food, setting hunting traps, or learning to find ways to get into the trees to create safer dens.

Packs living near large water sources may evolve with webbed paws, sleeker coats for faster swimming, and hearing designed for the sound beneath the waves.

How the pack has evolved depends on the chosen territory, the length of time the pack has spent there, and the generations born into that territory evolving to meet the needs of the pack better.

OTHER ANIMALS:

What animals are added to each biome are up to the creators. These animals can range from how they are on earth to smarter and more evolved from the magic like the wolves can be.

Prey animals could be dealt with in other ways, deals made with other predators to work in tandem, or any other possibilities and opportunities that work for the pack.
