The Wolves of The Banished Lands

Though these are wolves of Wolvden, The Banished Lands and the wolves who make up that area exist canonically outside of the limited Wolvden timeline. I'm so excited to play as these characters on Wolvden, but they were characters well before I joined Wolvden. In outside biographies, it may be mentioned that these wolves are in different packs. This is merely for roleplaying purposes and not canonical.

Notable Relationships Within The Banished Lands

The wolves of The Banished Lands function within a rather large group. It isn't uncommon for the wolves to separate for long times over the expanse of their territory. There are common areas, but some wolves can leave for days on end without the pack worrying too much. Personalities, past relationships, and lived experiences all collide when these wolves try to find a harmony with one another. This section is to keep notes on the important (or notable) relationships between the wolves.

Voyager X Dyani - Mates? Or something of the sort. They are distant with one another for the most part. Dyani is firm in her beliefs, and Voyager struggles to keep the peace between them. He knows she is rather aggressive, but he is willing to admit that she is what they need to survive and thrive. Voyager often finds himself playing mediator or running around to please his partner in crime. There are rare moments when Dyani lets him in, and when the weight that she puts on her own shoulders falls onto his for a moment. He hates what she does to herself, but he is committed to staying by her side.

Dyani X Daciana - It wouldn't be a stretch to call these two rivals. Their personalities clash in one of the most aggressive ways. Daciana is one of the only wolves that can fluster Dyani and make her feel like she's lost her ability to speak. Daciana enjoys her little debates with Dyani more than she wants to admit. Daci feels like she often stands up for the pack itself when Dyani steps over the line of leadership and leans towards dictatorship. Daciana knows where she stands within the pack - often seen as just "one of the huntress'." However, she is, in all honesty, only submissive to Dyani.

Dyani and Kalani - Oh no, where do we start. Both wolves are externally ruthless, but internally either hurt and/or cuddly. Dyani is less cuddly and less hurt, but she sees something of herself in Kalani. These two females have something akin to a romantic, physical relationship. It has nothing to do with lust and everything to do with intimate moments, being present for one another, and the warmth and comfort of another wolf. Kalani, though raised to be monogamous, inherited her ancestor's desire for contact with others. Though she normally pushes wolves away, she has found comfort and security with the wolves of The Banished Lands. Slowly but surely, with Dyani's help, Kalani is coming out of her shell. Only those within her pack know how much Kalani desires to be loved and physically comforted. Dyani and Kalani are often seen coming out of the same den in the mornings or lounging in the sun together after a hunt.

Foundation Wolves
These foundation wolves were a canonical, integral part of The Banished Lands. For spacing reasons, some of the wolves who reside in The Banished Lands canon had to be removed from the Wolvden site. These wolves live on and have biographies outside of the site. They will be mentioned and noted here.

Asroth - A wise old man who had the occasionally grouchy streak. He was aging and originally joined the pack for a sense of safety and security in his old age. He was an efficient scout and, later, taught hunting to the young wolves. He has since retired and lives as an elder. Known for his black pelt, olive eyes, and grey face masking. (Gen 1)

Cattie-Brie - One of the first outside females invited into the pack from outside. She was a small, fiery young wolf with a passion for life. She was known to have a wandering mind and a free spirit. Though small, she was more than happy to put any and every wolf in their place if they needed it. She was the packs first pupsitter, and she set a wonderful example of what is expected of a pupsitter. (Gen 1)
