[CW? - Sick pets, animal vomit/diarrhea, etc.]

I have a 14.5 week old standard poodle pup that has gone through hell and back with me, just in the few weeks I've had him. The breeder had not dealt with hookworms before, but of course, my pup's litter got them and boy were they a pain in the butt. She dewormed him and the littermates before I picked him up, but I should've done another round. He ended up dealing with diarrhea for quite a while until I dewormed him again myself (fecal was negative, vet wouldn't give me dewormer because of it even though I knew it was hooks or giardia, breeder gave me recommendations), worked out cause he was back to normal after another round of fenbendazole. Well, a few days ago he threw up 6-7 hours after his breakfast. I thought it was a one-time deal so I fed him dinner as normal, then he threw up again 6-7 hours after that (once at 1:30 am, 2:30 am, and 3 am). I was convinced he had a foreign body, due to the timing of the episodes. I called the university hospital in my town, about to break down to the receptionist at 3 am until she calmed me down and we decided I could wait till morning to take him to my regular vet. Anyway, I haven't slept in several days worrying about my puppy lmao - he was diagnosed with gastroenteritis, gas patterns on x-ray didn't indicate a foreign body but I've been keeping a close eye in case something develops. Three days of cerenia and several days of omeprazole and a probiotic and he's been doing really well. I have dumped all my money into this dude, but I wouldn't have it any other way, poodles have sensitive stomachs so I kinda knew what I was getting myself into lmao.

Negative situations aside, here's my boy, Porter!

This is my sweet bab, Mulan. She is about 7 years old and likes to pose for the camera. I am not too sure about her breed though... she is the daughter of my uncle's dog who was originally a stray (breed unknown) and an unknown male who lived in the same apartment building.

Mulan is the runt of the litter, however, she makes up for her size in ferocity and a sassy attitude. She tends to punk out the bigger dogs on our street, but regardless she is still kind and extremely playful. I love her so much.
