🌾 Wes's GC/SC human & anthro comms (ON HOLD)

🌾 Wes's GC/SC human & anthro comms (ON HOLD)
Posted 2021-06-26 11:14:46 (edited)

Hi! I'm Wes. I'm a casual player who joined upon public launch, but had to leave for a while due to IRL stress. I'm a fulltime university student with a part-time job, and I create artwork on the side. I use he/him pronouns.

GEN. INFO:

Within the bounds of human, anthro, and monstrous/semi-human characters, I'm okay with drawing most anything. This includes mild to moderate gore or body horror, but does not include NSFW/nudity as it is against Wolvden's TOS. This includes suggestive work and artistic nudity, as well as off-site requests made via Wolvden. I am also not equipped to take real life money at the moment, so while equivalents are listed, I am only accepting GC/SC.

I do not draw feral art at the moment (i.e. feral bodies specifically) because it is not my forté, and thus takes a lot of extra time and effort. At the moment I am also not drawing any fanart as, similarly, I don't particularly enjoy it.

If you have an idea, moodboard, or wolf you want to be translated into human/anthro/etc form in my art, that's 100% okay. However, it may cost extra. Please PM me if you're interested in this option, and note that I will not create characters completely from scratch.

+ I will not draw underage/incest/etc nor will I draw anything racist or appropriative in nature.

HALF-BODIES:

25gc / 2,000sc

These range from waist-upwards, to thighs-upwards. You may request either of these if you want, though they're very similar.

You are free to request imagery, clothing, simple backgrounds (i.e. shapes, patterns, transparent) and the like. You may request an idea for a pose or action, ex. "Could they be holding a rose and smiling?" or, "Will you draw them reaching down?"

NOTES:

I base my work's pricing on how much time a piece takes, using this as a metric to decide how much I would charge for it in actual money. From there, I translate it into Wolvden currency. I will not negotiate on prices. Ex. Half-bodies can take anywhere from 5 to 7 hours. This is roughly $45 ($7.25/hr) per the average U.S. minimum wage. However, that would translate to, like, 230GC, which I don't think anyone really has. Plus, this website is for fun. So I don't price them directly like that. However, if you think my prices are too high, keep in mind that's how I would price my art professionally.

SLOTS: 0 of 0 slots open, as of 7/14/21.

Reply with your character and any details or specifics to claim. 1/2 of payment is due upfront, or 100% if doing it in halves would be a hassle. It's up to you. If your request is complex (more than 1 character, based off of writing/moodboard/etc, or other request) PM me instead and we can work availability and pricing out together.

  • Slots on hold (see post below)

WAITLIST: 0 of 1 slots open, as of 7/14/21.

Reply with your character and any details or specifics to claim. I will PM when I have an opening. This only applies to the one person on this list as I am not comfortable racking up a long waitlist- it's a lot of pressure! If both my slot and waitlist are full, feel free to bookmark or subscribe to this thread instead.

TOS:

I reserve the right to decline any requests for any reason. Artwork may take only a day or 2+ weeks depending on my mental health and schedule (Feel free to check in/poke me if it's been a while). I will refund half of anything you have paid me for any reason, providing the artwork is still in the early stages (ex. I will not refund you a finished piece- if there's an issue with it please let me know and we can work it out for no extra charge!).

EXTRA:

Curious about my process?

If given only a reference photo(s) I may ask about the character's personality. This plays largely into how I depict them in my art! If you link me a toyhou.se page or something similar, or include such details from the get-go, my depiction of them will be based not only on physical traits but on their habits, quirks, and personality. Go wild with the info- not only do I love hearing about your character, but it's genuinely helpful.

I generally create a loose composition before lining it and coloring it. As long as I haven't started the coloring (the last, and often most annoying part of the process) you're good to ask for a 1/2 refund.

Want something specific but not sure how to ask?

That's okay! Even if you're not an artist yourself, drawing a stick figure recreation of the piece you want is more helpful than you'd think. So is google deep-diving and finding a pose that matches your thoughts. I reserve the right to artistic liberty, but your ideas for your pieces are a welcome starting point to me.

7/14/21 ON HOLD MESSAGE

As of July 14th, I'm actually in the middle of moving. I don't have the time or energy to take new slots right now, so please be patient if you are subscribed or on my wait-list. I cannot guarantee a return date but will let the appropriate people know when I open my slot(s) back up. Thank you for your interest!

Oh worm, your art is absolutely stunning, and I definitely believe you're underpricing yourself! The amount of detail that you put into each step of your process is a joy to see, and I hope you don't mind me claiming a slot! :0c

Edit: I realize midway through writing the order form that I got sniped anyhow, but thank you for adding me to the waitlist! I'll still keep the information in this post up, though, as a reference point for when slots do reopen, if that's all right with you.

As for my order, I'd love a half-body commission of Lorelei, who has a reference image here but also has a Toyhouse profile and an Art Fight profile in case you need more information on their character. The scar on their cheek isn't optional - and I highly advise drawing her as middle-aged since that's how she's normally written. She also doesn't actually have any wings despite some of their images depicting her with those; however, false wings and anything feathery is perfectly fine and would fit into her aesthetic rather well. Lorelei also isn't skinny; she's a bit muscular/chubby, though not overly so.

Lorelei's character is fairly cheerful and peppy, though they're also a rather shrewd politician and can be a bit amoral if needed. Usually, though, she's rather sunny and optimistic, believing the best in people and exuding motherly energy much of the time. Feel free to draw her smiling and happy, as well as exaggerating her expressions! They're rather expressive, so feel free to experiment with the latter.

Symbols pertaining to Lorelei tend to include feathers, fish/fish scales, birds, meat, anything pertaining to taxidermy, sweets, and a pocket mirror - if you're looking for ideas for imagery or the background. I also don't mind you taking artistic liberty on Lorelei and how she's interpreted as long as she's recognizable; I'm pretty flexible with how other people interpret my characters, so go as wild as you think is appropriate!

As always, you're more than welcome to PM or ping me if you have any questions regarding my commission! ^^
