PACK OF THE KASKAZINI
“So many angles, so many lines. So many ways to watch the sun rise. ‘Cause everything moves, everything pulses, everything lies in the eyes of you.”

— : LAWS AND RULES : —— { PACK MEMBERS
All pack members must be female. With the exception of one breeding male (and his heir once the time comes), and any direct offspring of the Queen, herself. More often than not, male pups will be chased out when they come of age, though some exceptions can be made for lore purposes. {Since pair-bonding was introduced, I decided that males can join the pack, but only they are accepted by current members of the pack. Each current member of the pack will have a dice roll, evens = accepting, odds = rejecting. If the majority = accepting, a male wolf will be welcomed into the pack but must work for his ranking / trust and respect.}
• Only females can be claimed in explore. There are no exceptions to this rule. Males may not be claimed in explore, and sex changers cannot be used on pups. This will keep the lore realistic. Males shall be fought in explore.
All pack members must be assigned a rank. All wolves must pull their weight if they wish to stay within the Kaskazini. Although wolves can have their ranks changed, this will be an unlikely occurrence within the pack.
The pack will always be run by a female. Although this may change one day for lore purposes, as time goes on, all leaders after Pallas will be female. Generally speaking, all lead wolves should be related to Pallas, herself. This may also change for lore purposes. I haven’t decided.
The Queen may only breed with her chosen mate. Although the breeder male can mate with other she-wolves (with the Queen’s permission), the Queen must remain loyal to her mate, or learn to hide it well enough as to go unnoticed.
Pupsitters may be punished or exiled for the death of female pups. However, this decision will be up to the Queen (OOC: a dice role, odds = punishment, evens = banishment).
Pups will not be named until their survival is guaranteed. Although Pallas understands this is morbid, this helps prevent nursing mothers from getting too attached to their offspring, especially during the winter. Named around 4-5 months.

— { BREEDING
Only the Queen may breed whenever she wants. Other females (only if they wish to breed with Harun) must ask for the Queen’s blessing. (This involves another dice roll, evens = permission granted, odds = declined). No exceptions.
Females do not have to disclose who they bred with. (Unless it’s Harun). Pallas trusts her packmates to choose strong males to breed with, and understands that bearing pups may be difficult when Harun is the only breeding male.
All other males must take a vow of celibacy. No males, besides the breeding male, may bear offspring with females within the pack. They will devote their entire lives to their ranks, and to pack. This includes the Breeding Male’s heir until he takes the throne, himself. No exceptions. {Since pair-bonds were introduced, I will make an exception to this rule. However, males will be punished or banished if Pallas finds out. Evens = getting found out, odds = getting away with it.}
Male pups are to be sold or chased. Obviously, exceptions will come for mutations or heirs.
There will be no inbreeding within the Kaskazini. Since this pack is lore-based, and nowhere near competitive, there will be no reason to inbreed. Sorry, not sorry.
As long as Pallas is Queen, mutations will be considered gifts from the Gods. They will be fiercely protected and cherished, no matter their use or lifespan. Pupsitters who let mutated pups die will be banished, no matter the gender.

— { BATTLING
• The Queen must protect her lands at all costs. This means that all enemy NPCS equal to, or below her level must be fought. Enemies with a higher level may be avoided, or retreated from to ensure the Queen’s safety.
• The Queen may die during battle. She must carry healing salves with her at all times. If her HP hits 0, and she has no healing salves readily available, I will roll the dice and determine whether she bleeds out or not. (Evens = death, odd = she inevitably heals from injuries.)

— : BELIEFS AND RELIGION : —
Although the Pack of the Kaskazini are a fairly new group of wolves, its founding Queen, Pallas, was originally born within a pack that called themselves the Bringers. Although she left her previous packlands behind, she brought their religion with her. These customs and deities were what she was raised to believe, and what she will teach and enforce as new generations of Kaskazini wolves are born.

There are six deities, some of which are favored over others. These six godly creatures represent the four seasons: Summer, Winter, Spring, and Fall. Then, comes Sickness and Wealth— pun intended.

Their names, (and genders) in order, are:
Deity of Summer: Arevik, Brute, Mated to Kirsi.
Deity of Winter: Kirsi, Bitch, Mated to Arevik.
Deity of Spring: Vesna, Bitch, Sister of Farhan.
Deity of Fall: Farhan, Brute, Brother of Vesna.
Deity of Sickness: Skadi, Brute,
Son of Arevik and Kirsi, Brother of Sonam.
Deity of Wealth: Sonam, Brute,
Son of Arevik and Kirsi, Brother of Skadi.

DAY ONE — BETRAYAL
Please keep in mind that I’m fully aware that not all of my lore is written out. It’s still a major WIP.
Along with that, the pack is a month or so ahead in terms of where progress starts. I did not have the time to start a full fledged timeline until now.

DAY ONE HIGHLIGHTS:
(For those who don’t want to read the whole thing.)

▪️ The pack is settling in nicely. The first sets of pups have grown into healthy adults, taking on their own ranks. There are currently 11 permanent and respected pack members; almost all ranks are filled.
▪️ Nizhoni was critically injured during a hunt, Iaso managed to patch them up quite nice, though.
▪️ With the permission of Pallas, Siavash has found herself expecting pups with the brute of another pack. Pallas can only hope that the pups are healthy.
▪️ Akroor, one of the four founders of the pack, and a renowned hunter, has been permanently banished from the pack. (Reason listed below, is actually being sold.)
▪️ Minus the hunting incident, life seems to be going relatively well for the pack so far.

DEATHS / BANISHMENTS / PUNISHMENTS:

Akroor, one of the four founders of the Kaskazini, and only other brute in the pack minus Pallas’ adopted son, and Harun himself, was caught sharing tongues with a she-wolf from another pack. Whilst on a patrol, Najwa overheard the twos’ conversation. Akroor allegedly had grown tired of Pallas, and told his new companion he was planning on overthrowing her, and chasing off any of those who wished to follow her. In fear of her position, and for the rest of the pack, Pallas and Harun chose to believe in Najwa, and banished Akroor without looking into things all that much. Siavash happily, though hesitantly took his place as main stalker.

I electively chose not to write out a roleplay-based explanation of events that happened today; as this post is already long as shit.

DAY TWO — NEWCOMER

DAY TWO HIGHLIGHTS:

▪️ Siavash’s stomach continues to grow and grow with pups. Although happy, Pallas is growing more and more concerned about these pups being born in the middle of a harsh winter. She can only hope the pack is ready to care for them.

▪️ Pallas has officially claimed her first trophy whilst exploring— a canine’s claw! While she barely managed to escape with her life, you should see the other guy!

▪️ Whilst patrolling, Pallas and Harun stumbled upon a soft, pink-pelted brute who calls himself Tsvetan. After the three of them bickered and squabbled, Tsvetan managed to convince Pallas to let him stay, though Harun wasn’t so pleased by the idea. The pack was also a bit split on the idea, Iaso, Meja, Nizhoni, Fajra, Ceinwen, Esme, and Okropir seemed all for the idea, whilst Harun, Siavash, Oria, and Najwa were against it. Only time will tell what this newcomer brings to the back.

▪️ Knowing that her son could protect himself if necessary, Pallas ordered Tsvetan to follow Okropir around whilst he scouted, in hopes the new brute would become familiar with the territories. All in all, the two of them seem to be getting along very well. Pallas is grateful that her son has finally found friendship in someone other than Fajra.

DAY THREE — FROZEN

DAY THREE HIGHLIGHTS:

▪️ Winter has shown its face, and Kirsi seems more than angry this season. Something — or someone — must have upset her. The pack can only pray for smooth sailing, now.

▪️ Siavash is almost bursting at the seams, the pack is delighted— for the most part, at least. As time goes on, hopefully the gods will grace the soon to be mother with an easy birth, and healthy pups.

▪️ Okropir and Tsvetan have seemed to grow incredibly close within the last two months of knowing each other. Pallas is growing a bit skeptical, but is still incredibly happy for her son, nonetheless.

▪️ Speaking of Okropir, after a long scouting trip with Esme, the young brute has returned home with some gnarly looking ticks clinging to his golden fur. Gross. Iaso spent a few hours removing them from his pelt.

▪️ After doing so, Iaso realized the pack was short on Winterfat— a herb she’s only ever found in the mountains. Bidding the pack farewell for a few hours, the herbalist took her leave in hopes to return with good news. Of course, with her luck, Iaso would be returning with much more than that. Laying lifeless in the snow, a brown-pelted puppy was barely clinging to life, seemingly abandoned by her family. The herbalist felt her heart sink— who could do such a thing? She took the puppy in her maw, found herself a semi-dry, abandoned coyote’s burrow. There, the two slept for the night, wrapped in each other’s presence, basking in each other’s warmth. Thankfully, the pup, who Iaso has named Chava, survived through the night. The two returned home hours after, and the new pup was welcomed with open arms— or paws, rather.

NOTICE
Hello, to anyone who might be reading this! I’m restarting this counter as of today, because I’m starting to grow unhappy with my lore, etc! I will be selling / chasing a good percentage of my wolves and starting over, I’m just too lazy to redo my forms. Count the post after this as DAY 1, please and thank you!
