how to throw objects in lego harry potter 5-7 on the Nintendo switch

hi 

i have been playing the harry potter 5-7 on the switch, its is part of the lego harry potter collection on the switch.  

i borrowed the game from the library

i'm at the part of the game where you have throw objects at death eaters.   for the life of me i can't figure out how to throw and aim the objects at the death eaters. all the happens is the objects levitate in the air and fall back down again.  

i'm asking if any body knows how to throw objects in lego harry potter years 5 -7 on the Nintendo switch

any help would be greatly appreciated

put bricks on the ground

lift armchair with WL spell

throw it in right direction (press and hold W key)

use the wingaom leviosa spell

w key ? the nintendo switch doesn't have a w key

huh 

i dont have a n switch 

but i suppose it would be just cast the spell then release.....

it is a fun game 

it is just frustrating that i can't figure out how to throw objects in the game.
