Hi!

I'm bank, a nonbinary student from the UK. I'm a literate, adult roleplayer [20], but also an artist and aspiring games designer!

I engage with both fandom and original plots, although I will admit I am leaning towards the former at the moment. I'm hoping I'll find someone on here who's also interested in darker and creative storylines - if you're interested, then throw me a private message and I'll try and respond ASAP! c:

ABOUT ME

- I'm 20 [I'd prefer if you are 20+ too]

- I'm from the UK

- I consider myself literate/advanced

- I roleplay through PMs, forums or Discord

My preferences for roleplay plots, characters, pairings - all those shenanigans - they tend to shift pretty frequently. At the moment, romance isn't the top of my priorities and I'm not looking to force it, but I will oblige if it naturally develops or if my partner would like it to be included.

I have a collection of original plot ideas which which I'll happily share with anyone interested, although I normally attempt to brainstorm based on both of our preferences first [I firmly believe that a good roleplay should have things that we both enjoy]. If you have something you're particularly craving, then I'd love to hear about it, but otherwise then some pointers towards what you like/dislike would be amazing! I'm sure we can find something we both enjoy.

I'm also fine with playing any canon character from fandoms, and I will double up, under the condition that I expect my partner to be equally flexible!

THEMES

Science Fiction

I've taken an interest in robots/cyborgs/androids recently, as well as what futuristic crime could look like with gangsters and corrupt millionaires. Not a huge fan of space pirates/exploration, or anything heavily focused on aliens, but maybe a situation where a fairly normal citizen is wrapped up in some serious illegal business? [Leaning more into dystopian or apocalyptic themes would be a massive plus]

Horror

Horror is probably one of my favourite genres, because it can be woven into any plot with good planning. I'm more into psychological horror, not necessarily Lovecraftian, but scenarios where something is slightly off with a character's behaviour or the environment are always fascinating. I like to pair this with paranormal/supernatural themes as well, but without straying too heavily into the fantastical.

Apocalyptical

I have three ideas for post-apocalyptic scenarios I'd love to delve into, for anyone interested, some of which link into other themes I've mentioned. I'm not a huge fan of zombie or alien apocalypses though because they tend to become cliches, although there are some exceptions to this rule.

RESIDENT EVIL: VILLAGE/BIOHAZARD *****

I've greatly enjoyed the games featuring Ethan Winters, ever since the first teaser came out for RE7 and everyone was sharing theories or little details that were easily overlooked - that being said, while RE8 is leaning for a more traditional gothic stance on the horror genre, I love it for it's own quirkiness! There isn't a lot left to the imagination when it comes to violence/gore and body horror, and I imagine those dark themes will follow through into roleplay as well, although dotted in between some important character development or drama. If you're interested then please let me know if you're looking to avoid spoilers, so I don't get carried away and spill the beans!

CYBERPUNK 2077 ****

I've loved the cyberpunk genre in general since reading Neuromancer a few years ago! While the game's release was... Concerning, I still adored every minute of it, bugs and all. I particularly enjoyed how flexible the universe of Night City is, and after completing the entire main storyline twice [taking time to explore different endings], I found myself craving more! Naturally, the cyberpunk universe is complex, brutal, aggressive, vulgar - generally a mature experience, so I'm hoping any potential writing partners will be after exactly that as well.

BATMAN / ROGUES GALLERY **

Anyone who knows me personally is aware that scarecrow is my favourite character to write as, but in general, the whole rogues gallery excites me to a similar extent. There's something so intriguing about a group of villains so focused on breaking one man that they put all their humanity aside just to see him crumble. I'm primarily familiar with the games, tv shows, films, and a handful of comics [most of which being either Tim Sale art or Black Label, because I'm edgy] - although I'm always excited to explore different interpretations of characters that I may not have been privy to. Dark settings and mature themes are my forte when it comes to DC, but I'm interested in anything really!

OKAMI ***

I recently replayed the Okami remaster - and oh my god, I forgot how much I adore this game. From the art, to the characters, to the gameplay; the sight of Issun bouncing around on your screen just invokes the warm feeling of being 10 in your family living room playing on the PS2. I would love any excuse to write within this franchise, especially if it means creating new locations and characters for us to experiment with and weave into the main plot of the game, although playing out some alternate storyline with main canon characters is also an idea I'm not opposed to.

I will also eventually provide examples of writing I have done in the past, for those who need some more convincing. Just as a taste - my most active roleplay, and currently longest running, revolves around a world-weary necromancer and his anxious apprentice, and another focuses on two lonely travellers who happen to be wanted ex-mercenaries.

Sound like decent premises? My inbox is open! c:

Thank you for reading!
