The marks around Alsephina's eyes weren't always there. Always known as a kind and gentle she-wolf, she was often the first one to ensure that her pack lived safely and happily, even if this meant putting herself in harm's way. The marks around her eyes were given by an unknown deity not long after she became the pack's Alpha, meant as a sign of her dedication to those below her; in a way, the marks are meant to symbolise Alsephina's sacrifice and the way she's prepared to give up her own happiness for her pack. In a way, they are meant to be tears that others were saved from shedding at the expense of their Alpha and her good-natured heart. Some even believe the marks are a blessing themselves.

Mlartar is a very well respected wolf in the Aether Coven. He has had his fair share of hunting, and is a extremely talented herbalist. All of the puppies in the pack are taught to listen to and respect the old wolf. Mlartar didn't actually choose to be an herbalist, however. He was forced into the position after being in many hunts. He reluctantly chose to give up hunting, which had been his entire lifestyle.

Snow is a perceived gift of beauty to the pack, similarly to Flecked, which is what helped grant their name as 'snow', due to the light patterning.

[Idea Booster to the Headcanon: The thematic of wolves having flecked patterns, subtle or not, is a sign of grace and gifting due to their 'glittering' appearance.]

after a long scouting session, malenia most likely separates herself from the pack so she can recharge alone. the pups try to play with her and she nips at them bc fuc dem kids, deep down she would never hurt a fly but she likes to maintain an image of this cold fierceness so the rest of the pack knows she lowkey is a boss b. at night her wisp ornate spots glow, so despite her coldness, she is the beacon of her pack and the glue that holds it together

Sunset likes to place leaves that remind her of her mate, bedding. Yellow, on her mate's bedding. Yellow loves to receive her gifts and dug a small hole next to her bed to place the leaves in.

Azalea has always been rather.. vulgar. Due to this, Tumble was chosen to be her advisor; her social disposition gave her high status in her pack and, prior to being "leader", she's well-liked and respected. This made her fit to give Azalea advice and help guide her as she learned how to be a princess.

Lynx got his name after saving a lost lynx cub in the forest. The cub's mother, while not entirely pleased by having a wolf approach or carry her cub, did not lash out and seemed to even appreciate the length Lynx went to ensure the tiny kitten survived. From that day on, Lynx was known by that name.
