To keep the pups or not.

To keep the pups or not.

If you're like me, you're having a hard time with your pups. They're flourishing great, surviving well and growing strong. However... Do you keep them to replace your current, 100% bonded hunters and scouts? Or offer them to someone else?

I'm breeding atm for the fun of it, to see cute bases and increase stats. The only one I know I'll be keeping and replacing my stud is a Sky Base. But that's not for a while yet lol.

Until then I have a ton of cute pups with good (for me) stats... But I'm worried. If I keep them, what if I then run the risk of always having to stud to ensure clean genes?

What do you all think? X

I started breeding my wolves as soon as I could, mostly to see what kind of markings and bases I would get. Ultimately I've decided I wanted to replace most of my wolves I had started with and build a pack around the pups that I have bred and bought and so far all the pups I have are assigned roles for when they age up!

The only downside is it will lower my hunting synergy, but I have enough wolves to fill every role possible, including having three separate hunting parties! I haven't had any trouble feeding or playing with the wolves I currently have, as the amount of food I typically find while exploring and what I get while hunting is enough to sustain them and I still have extra leftover that I typically sell for a bit more SC. I think I'll continue breeding my wolves though even if I don't plan on keeping any, mostly to see the variety I can obtain and to play around with genetics.

I will be replacing at least one of hunting teams with my new pups because I want to breed them and I want to raise their stats before I do that (also no just sitting around pretty for me ;D ) but most the pups I'm keeing are not from my stud, so no inbreeding.

If you like their stats, my suggestion would be to sell one of your hunting teams and then train up the new one. That way you have a save bet with your original one while also guaranteeing you will have a replacement once they grow too old.

Alternatively, if your party's age is still young, wait for a second litter with higher stats.
