Thoughts On Stats vs. Markings

I'm curious to hear what people think about a couple of different play-styles, one focusing on rare markings/appearance and one focusing more on getting higher stats.  I suppose I am talking mainly about the wolves one breeds and purchases.

Of course, this being a game, there is no "right" way to play!  I just want to open up the mic to hear which people are prioritizing and why, or if it's truly a 50/50 split for anyone.

So, how important are stats to you? Will you breed to low-level studs if they're pretty enough? Are low stats ever a deal-breaker for you in getting a new wolf? Pls share.

I don't think we have any true "statter" wolves, right now everything is pretty attainable still, so I just breed to the base I need. I am trying to breed for high wisdom/smarts myself.

As for markings I just go for everything right now XD Haven't decided on specifics or anything, just breeding pups and seeing how they turn out. 

Edit: I don't mean there are no statter players, just that the stats are (obviously) not very high right now.

I'm going to breed wolves I think would be pretty. But I'm not going to aim to breed wolves with triple of [whatever marking is desirable atm]. I might try breeding for higher statted pups too, but it's not going to be my main focus. 

I just want to have pretty wolves and sell nice pretty wolves to others haha 

There are many of us who are considered "statters" breeders already or who classify as that with our plans. Many of us agree that looks can be focused on later. Personally, I like a few markings that I want to try for, but that will involve leveling up NBWs and getting their stats up first before breeding them.

I'm personally just going for pretties. I've never been super concerned with stats, but I think they'll actually help more here than in LD because of the different roles.

However there is pretty decent stat gain early on, so im not too concerned.

Here from Lioden - stats have never been that important to me there and I can't see that they will be on Wolvden either. The pups I've purchased from others have been because I love their looks. My breeding projects are definitely more about breeding bases + marks than for stats.

I'm primarily interested in interesting looking wolves, but I do also want to build up some stats so I won't breed to very low level studs.

I don't care about stats at all, lol. I'll look at them when assigning roles and make sure my pack is cared for, obviously, but otherwise it's just window dressing to me. :P
