Hey all, I'm very new to Wolvden, but I'm already hooked. I love games that involve min-maxing and creating strong offspring. I already have a goal for myself: I want a Fox stud with Glass eyes, and I want him to have a short, clean lineage with no BNs. The issues with this goal are many:
I realize that this is a huge leap for someone inexperienced with the game, but I'm mainly doing this for fun and to teach myself how Wolvden breeding works through trial and error. In all honesty I don't expect to meet my end goal, and that's okay! Hopefully I'll breed some cool wolves in the process. With that being said, here is my rough plan: I. Level Prowler (my lead) up to 15 ASAP. II. Find a NBW with Glass eyes. a) While this is happening, gather the components for a Fox applicator. III. Breed said NBW to Prowler until a Glass eye pup is produced. b) IF I have the Fox applicator by this point, this pup will be the end result of the project. IV. If b) isn't accomplished by the time I have a Glass pup, I'll breed it to another NBW and produce another Glass offspring. This offspring is the last hope. c) Since I want to keep my stud within 3 generations maximum, I fail if this 3rd gen pup gets too old or dies without getting the chance to be a Fox and/or stud. I know finding a Glass eye NBW and the components for a Fox applicator are both very difficult, but my semester just ended and I have plenty of time to dedicate to this (not to mention a little bit of cash squirreled away for GC if needed). I'm open to criticism and tips, since I'm doing this completely blind ^^. Have a great day! EDIT (4/13): I finally (kind of) understand tiers and bases now! So my goals have changed a bit... but the difficulty of this project sure hasn't. Prowler (my current lead) is no longer important to the project asides from levelling up enough to find chased wolves. I purchased a chased male Glass Muted Medium II wolf and a chased female Warm Medium II wolf in the TC. Once the female ages up, I'll breed the two to produce a Glass Warm Medium II pup. This is the relatively easy part, provided luck is on my side. My new goal is to find a TIII warm medium chased wolf (so Wulfenite or Mojave). I'm pretty sure this will be like finding a needle in a haystack, but hey - I have plenty of time on my hands right now. This wolf will be bred to the Glass WM II to produce a Glass WM III heir, who will have the Fox applicator applied. There's still a ton that can go wrong with this new plan. I have to find an incredibly rare chased wolf, get the Fox applicator components for the heir in time, produce a suitable parent for the heir to begin with, etc. But at least I kind of understand what I'm doing now, and can easily rinse and repeat this process if this first attempt goes wrong. |

good luck on your project! glass fox is definitely not impossible (though if you're aiming for a fox base i'd suggest simply applying it to a nbw with glass eyes already). i can give you a glass nbw for free, though she's pretty old. you can also find a lot of glass nbws in the trading center for as low as 10sc. if you're alright with breeding to an already existing g1 fox stud, which is more cost-effective, i'd suggest trying to get a nbw glass eye with a t2 base in the same colour category as fox (warm medium II in this case). |

Your project sounds very cool! I was definitely not this prepared when I first joined, lol. Also, I have the fox base recipe, so if you get all the materials but not the recipe you can message me & send over the items & I'll be happy to make it for you. |
