Meadow Herd (Wild herd rp)

Midnight nuzzled at the two youngest of the herd, Spirit and Opal. "Are you two alright?"

Estrella stays at the river she rolls in the water to cool down some. She was lost in thought she didn't know if she wanted a foal or not or wanted a mate. She knew she had a crush on Midnight but was nervous about their size difference if they did have a foal. She eventually returns to the herd smiling lightly but wryly.

Amira looks up, the pattern of hoofbeats thundering. "Estrella! Midnight!" She whinnied, ears going flat against her skull as a figure appeared. 

Spitfire's legs ate up the ground, carrying himself towards the herd. As the heads appeared, he skidded to a stop, wincing as the gash on his side widened. He lowered his head, trying to appear not as dominant. There were two foals, Estrella, and a stallion. And the mare, Amira, who lost the colt.

Amira huffed, swishing her tail at the intruding stallion, but she didn't do anything, waiting for the lead mare to instruct.

Midnight gave a low, threatening whinny and trotted forward to stand protectively between Estrella and the stranger. He waited for Estrella's orders.

*both foals* "ya we're alright" opal prodded spirit with her muzzle checking for wounds when the newcomers appeared they stood on ether side of midnight both ready to turn and kick at his signal.

"Hello. I'm Spitfire, formerly owned by the humans. I saw you were captured and when you escaped... I followed." He paused for a second, "I was wondering if I could join your herd."

Amari snorted, trotting up to Estrella. Yes, yes, Midnight was the protecter but it felt better with two mares. Most of the time. 

Spitfire flicked his eyes towards Amari, noting her coat colour and pattern. Yes, the colt did take after his dame. Turning his attention to the alpha mare, he awaited a response.

Estrella thinks for a moment before saying "sure I suppose you can join." She turns around and heads back to where she last stood. She had to think about who would make a good lead stallion and now there was 2 studs in the herd. 

spirit and opal stood their ground in front of the two new members who hadn't gained their trust yet and protecting their lead mare spirit bent down to eat some grass but keeping his eyes on them the entire time (opals mind) mom had a friend named spitfire i might be rong but i should ask her if she knew her *opal* "do you by any chance know a mare by the name of Quartz?"spirit gave her a puzzling look.

(If Amari is the second new member, she had joined the herd just before Estrella was taken. Also, if you want a backstory including Spitfire you can PM me so I understand and we can sort out a way to include it in the RP if you want)

Spitfire watched Estrella leave. As the two yearlings came up to him, the stallion frowned. "Quartz? No, that doesn't ring a bell. Why do you ask?"
