Hi everyone!

I want to make a selene stud in the future, but I don't know which one of my wolves I should choose. The stud will be selene based with at least 2 selene markings and fully customized (perfectly it would have 4 selene markings – so far I have over 400LT AND selene base app, so it's only a matter of getting ~500LT for other marking apps which, with heavy grinding, may be possible).

Design I'm going for (designed by me, please do not steal ;__;):

But I have problem with choosing who I should customize and I hope you can help!

Some candidates:

1. Kokosanka 🥥 Link to wolf: wolvden.com

Pros:
✔️ Not many markings – less SC/GC needed to remove them
✔️ Stats: 529 on lvl 9 (I don't remember her starting stats)
✔️ Over 1yo – ready to start studding immediately

✔️ White eyes already
Cons:
❌ Gen 3 by father's side, so not as short lineage as many would like
❌ Outside studding – line may become popular all of a sudden and I have no control over it

❌ 1 year old 5 months old – so already 5 months "lost" on possible studding (and I won't be able to customize her immediately, so another few months may be lost on that)

❌ Sex change needed

Pros:
✔️ Not many markings – less SC/GC needed to remove them

✔️ Inside pack breeding – G2, line is 100% my own, it won't become popular out of my own control

✔️ Already male – no need for sex change

✔️ Still adol, so I have some time to customize him

Cons:
❌ Very meh stats (395 total) – needs training 😕

❌ Skin/eyes/claws/etc. needing change (not big deal tbh)

Pros:
✔️ Starting stats: 435
✔️ Short line – GEN2

Cons:

❌ Outside studding – line may become popular all of a sudden and I have no control over it (father is still an active stud)
❌ Many markings – need to remove them

4. Perseide (most likely candidate) 🌠 link to wolf: wolvden.com

Pros:
✔️ Starting stats: 447
✔️ Short line – GEN2
✔️Not as many markings

Cons:

❌ Outside studding – line may become popular all of a sudden and I have no control over it (but father passed away with over 300 puppies breed)

❌ Need to remove markings/change skin/sex change etc., BUT I may be able to work with some of the markings she already has

So my question is. Which of the wolves do you think is the best candidate?

I don't have many resources, only 40GC saved (and 20GC is needed to remove my current stud so it leaves me with 20GC), 2 marking applicators, selene base app and ~450LT already gathered during that event (so I will get for sure 2 marking apps). That means the customization may be a slower proccess than I would like (so probably in favor of choosing a pup/adol for that role). I still don't know which one to choose and start customizing. Any thoughts? Thank you for your help and insight!

I agree with your first instinct and would recommend Perseide. Nice stats, short line, retired stud, and still has the potential for silver marks if you decide to leave any of the current markings

Yeah, my gut tells me to go with her. She's also my lead's offspring and because of that she has a big sentimental value. I may try to incorporate the silver marking in the final design, maybe it will fit nicely. Thank you! <3

Definitely go with your first instinct, Perseide is beautiful and high stat. I think you'd definitely be able to incorporate some of her current markers into the final design nicely. 

Honestly I'd try to go for an NBW. If you can find one with low age and high stats (and maybe some rare eye colors, markings, or even a carrier) you'd have a no lineage stud so the studding will be completely in control. 

Most NBWs don't have many markings, so low cost of removing them (if any) and like I said earlier, no lineage! 

Some cons might be that they can get expensive, especially if you're looking for rarer traits.

But if we're just going off the wolves you've presented, I'd go for Perseide! Beautiful markings already. Short gen, good stats, he's a pretty good pick! :>
