I am SO rusty on character design but I figured I'd enter this anyway! Was very fun to make even if I'm not super happy with how it turned out. I hope you like it! c: I accidentally merged all the layers like a complete fool so I'm limited on how much I can change this ref, but if you decide to use this design you're welcome to change it however you want. ^^

Is it possible to get a day or two extension? 
I was really wanting to join but my dog had to have surgery and an additional emergency vet visit and it put me back a few days.

I understand if you don't want to push the date back any.

I'm working on my entry, and I have a question !! since simba is made of gold, does she have fur detail? or would it be more statue-like where the fur doesn't move or have definition?

Every strand of her fur is gold, so it does indeed have fur texture and moves with her movements like a normal animal - it's pretty soft to the touch as well!
