A place for me to share the lore of my wolf pack. !

A Brief Summary

The Black-nosed canines of the taiga region are known for being intrinsically linked to the spirituality of nature. While small in number, their expressive personalities are bold.

The one who calls himself Quinn attempts to lead this group, though he is assisted by those closest to him. Seasons ago, Quinn was chased by his fellow dogs from a sheep farm after killing one of the livestock, and due to his half-wolf heritage he was quick to form a life of his own in the wilds. Not far from his original home, he met the half-wolf half-husky Sage, forming a tight friendship in the name of survival. Later, he would form a small harem consisting of Sage, Lavender Bloom, and Burnt Pine. The two speckled females were sisters, and within their home pack it was normal to leave when of age, if one was blood with the alphas.

Slowly from there, Quinn formed a tight pair bond with Burnt Pine, though as the only male in the group he would breed with the others in his harem as well. He produced two of his own, Terrar and Bonemeal, and accepted a stray male who was around their age called Kudzu. Lavender Bloom would go on to become a pupsitter, and would take care of the triplet of puppies and all puppies to come.

Sometime after, Burnt Pine would give birth to four puppies, only two of which would survive past weening. Eclipse and Skull Etching were the newest addition.

Terrar would grow to be an herbalist, while Bonemeal and Kudzu would form a new hunting party- The Summer Winds. Their hunting party would be based off common ideals, such as passion and an eagerness to succeed- clashing with the already established Spring Rains, who were highly critical, observant, and careful. The Spring Rains consisted of Sage, Burnt Pine, and her two children Eclipse and Skull Etching.

During this time, Bonemeal and Kudzu would form a pair bond, while remaining close friends with Terrar. This caused a competitive nature between the younger wolves of Summer Winds and the herbalist, and the older wolves of Spring Rains and the pupsitter. Lavender Bloom, as she raised the puppies, could promote the ideals of the Spring Rains, though on the other hand Terrar the herbalist would perform routine check ups on puppies and could encourage them to join with his friends in the Summer Winds.

It was this competitive nature that would lead to the two hunting parties to always strive to out-win the other, and hunting would become a largely praised part of life within the Black-Nose Pack. Additionally, pupsitters would be indefinitely linked to the Spring Rains- a wolf wishing to support the Spring Rains in ways other than hunting would become a pupsitter. On the other hand, Herbalism would be wed to the Summer Winds- a wolf looking to support them without the skills of hunting would take up herbalism.

As life moved on, while hunters and huntresses would still be referred to as such, a pupsitter would be known as The River Mouth, a place where nutrients and years of experience would be deposited. An herbalist would be known as The Deer Head, a symbol of overcoming great odds and a future of fertility and health to come.
