Lunar Essence - Amount of Energy used per Lunar Essence Gained, on average

Okay, I just used 100 energy (no fighting) and got NONE. 
Yes it was day hours and I tried two biomes (D forest and Tundra)
What is going on??? I got grand total of maybe 15 LE all day and I was getting way more the first couple of days!
Are there factors I don't know about?

It seems to be biome based for the most part. Usually one biome will give me a *somewhat* decent amount while the rest give me none. 

Ok I just used guarana and tried a couple of more biomes....Still nothing. I think something may be wrong.

Are you exploring during the day (in game)? I only get lunar essence when it's day in game.

Yes, I mentioned that in my first post. But I did contact the mod box, it seems I had gathered 100 LE for the day, which I did not know we could track in user log, so my mistake! :O so at least for me it wasn't a bug!
