Many decades ago, a group of elitists decided that they wanted to live forever. They wanted to never age and to never grow ill. They spent several years searching for doctors and scientists willing to conduct the experiments required to achieve this goal.After many long hours, it has been done. Though not without its accidents.
As with all great discoveries, there were some setbacks. One of which grew out of hand. In order to get the results the elitists wanted, several tests were conducted. Two Subjects had become compromised and were thought to have been neutralized, but ended up escaping. In the process, they took several overnight personnel with them. Though the nation's government was notified, they were unsure of how to handle the situation.
Many months passed and the nation was locked down due to the spread. But it was too late...
Now, all of the large cities are nothing more than ruin. All forms of government have fallen and each settlement is run independently. At the present moment, there is only one known settlement: The Colony.
This is where our story starts.
