Legolas smiled at her drawings, “you’re better than just good,” he told her. “I would enter the contest if I were you, especially with that talent,” he told her kindly. He thought for a moment, “I have something for you,” he told her. “Haldir, take her to the hatching grounds,” he said with a smile. “I would go too, but I have some ideas to discuss with Haldir’s father about the war,” he said with a sigh. He gave his daughter a hug one more time before leaving. 

Haldir nodded, “you ready?” He asked her. 

“Sure, Athena really liked me. She licked my face before I left, silly dragon. So why are we going to a hatching ground and looks like if I can go back home I’ll be entering that school contest,” smiled Madison as she followed Haldir, she just wondered what it was that her father wanted to give her.”Haldir look at this, I drew a picture of Athena I want you to have,” she said as they arrived at the hatching grounds.

Haldir smiled at her, “Athena did like you. She isn’t very fond of others,” he told her. “Well it’s a surprise,” he replied to her question. Haldir led her to a certain spot in the hatchery, it was a large egg sitting on a rock. It was kept warm by lava that was surrounding the rock. He looked at the drawing she gave him and smiled. “I love it, thank you,” he told her kindly. 

“So you never told me why we’re here Haldir, wait does that egg belong to me,” asked Madison as she spotted the egg, she walked close to the egg and touched it. Suddenly the egg started hatching,”what’s going on,” she yelped as she jumped back. Soon a baby dragon emerged, the dragon was a dark blue almost like Midnight.

(what if Madison’s dragon is taken because it’s a rare color and maybe when the dragon grows up it’s a strong dragon?)
