The Cult of Sangana [Discussion]

NOTE: I'm still in the process of finishing my pack's lore and getting everything squared away, so bear with me here. ^^' Most of the lore stuff I propose below probably won't be available until I get everything finished, but your welcome to voice your interest!

An OOC thread to talk about my lore pack, The Cult of Sangana! Some ideas for what you can post here:

• Pack Alliances! If you are also working on lore for your pack, and you think your pack might seek an alliance with the Cult, feel free to propose that here! The cult is most likely to form alliances with other matriarchal packs or "neighboring" packs in the mountains that might otherwise pose a threat. Alliances are primarily a lore thing, since there's no actual alliance system that provides any in-game benefits, and can simply be a way of fleshing out our packs. Alternatively however, the Cult might seek a breeding alliance with any neighboring packs that have a breeding male in them, which, in OOC terms, means I'll regularly use your studs whenever I'm looking to do outside studding if you'd like me to! (And I will pay the full price, of course ;3). Depending on how many pups there are, we can split them, but: (1) I want at least 1 female, and (2) all males are yours, if you want them. Lore wise, females you get to keep will be considered dead in the Cult and found abandoned at birth in your pack (cuz the Cult would never abandon their female pups unless they were sick or something); males can be considered given to the pack by the Cult or left for dead and taken in by the pack.
• Short Roleplays! Another lore thing; we can do a short 1x1 with our wolves meeting if you would like! Can be any wolf in either pack for any reason; trespassing, hunting outside of their territories and getting into disputes over it, perhaps a forbidden secret romance, etc. Anything that happens in the RPs will be considered part of the pack's story, and will be linked on my pack's timeline (if you're okay with that), or at least summarized. RPs can be in the 1x1 section here, or over discord. Pitch me ideas here, in Wolvden DMs, or over discord (I'm canis doofus#1266).
• Sharing Religion! I have yet to actually write the religion and history of the Cult (rip lol) but essentially, it didn't start with the founder of the Cult; it existed long before. So, it's possible that there could be other packs/wolves out there that believe in the same goddesses. Basically, you have my permission to use this religion in your own lore, be it through either having one or two wolves in your pack that believe in it, or having the whole pack entirely follow its teaching, but maybe in a different way (and however you interpret that is up to you!). All I ask is that you post here asking for permission first, and give me credit wherever this may appear in your pack's lore. ;w;
• Just some chill discussion! Otherwise, if none of these things are up you ally, you can just post here to tell me what you think of the story, lore, etc. Tell me what you like, give me some constructive criticism if you want (but don't just outright bash everything please), or just say you're a fan and look forward to what comes next! Also?? Complete shot in the dark, but?? If you make fanart??? I'd love to see it~ :3c Even if it's just using my wolves as practice or whatever.

A to-do list of the things I need to do before everything's complete:

• Finish writing and refining my rules by: writing out the rules on Heiring, including exceptions to the rules that can be found in Activities and Rituals so there's no confusion [Lore Thread]
• Make new post called "Religion", which details the goddesses and the history of how the Cult came to be. [Lore Thread]
• Finish writing Activites & Rituals: need to go over Visions & Blessings, The Dance of Sangana, initiation into the Cult (to explain what would compel a new member to believe in this extreme religion), the system for deciding what happens to law breakers, and a system for challenging the leader (maybe). [Lore Thread]
• Give personalities and bios to all members of the cult. [1/10 for personality completed, 2/10 for bios completed] [Pack Page]
• Roll Relationships... and... explain relationships... lol. [Pack Page & Lore Thread]
• Make Pack Timeline.
• Compile everything that's happened into the Pack Timeline.

• 10/19/20: Added "EXTRAS" section to Pack Lore thread; added "POLITICAL RELATIONS" and "PACK PLAYLIST" to EXTRAS [Pack Lore]; added "Blessings & Visions" info in ACTIVITIES AND RITUALS in [Pack Lore]
• 10/20/20: Added "Initiation Into The Cult" to ACTIVITES AND RITIDUALS [Pack Lore]; with this, also devised the Favors system. [Pack Lore]
• 10/22/20: Added several pack relations in "POLITICAL RELATIONS" [Pack Lore]; finalized the "Favors" system in ACTIVITES AND RITIUALS [Pack Lore]; clarified in "Blessings" that Blessings are given to randomly rolled wolves, so this is not confused with Favors, which are rolled for each individual [Pack Lore]; added a legend to clarify what all of the letters and numbers in wolf names mean [Den Page]; added descriptions for the caves, which also provides some basic geography of the Cult's homebase [Den Page]; added rules on heiring in LAWS AND RULES [Pack Lore].
• 10/25/20: Temporarily paused the BATTLE rule that my lead must roll for death if her HP ever hits 0 [Pack Lore]; revised the Blessings ritual to take place during the day when the weather is clear (makes a lot more sense for a pack that worships the sun and actually gives me a chance to do blessings, because apparently I'm not awake during full moons onsite) [Pack Lore]; added ILLNESSES AND INJURIES to RULES AND LAWS [Pack Lore]
• 11/01/20: Revised my concept for the Queen's Consort so that he is a male outside of the cult. It just makes more sense lore wise for the Queen to seek a mate like everyone else in the pack. [Pack Lore]; with that, added an official explanation for how Cult members find mates both ICly and OOCly in ACTIVITES & RITUALS [Pack Lore].

Hi! I was wondering if I could use this religion too. :o Of course I'd change it up a bit so that it was similar yet different. I was also wondering if you'd be interested in roleplays, perhaps the two packs eventually end up interacting? It might be interesting to see how the Sangana react to meeting a pack that worships the same gods, yet in vastly different ways. Perhaps they would fight like the Crusades, or maybe make peace since the god is so similar.

Hi, yes of course! You're pack can share the religion and you can take whatever creative liberties you want with it; feel free to go nuts! <3 Looking forward to seeing how your pack incorporates it :o

And I'd definitely be down to RP! (Though it might have to wait until I've got my pack members personalities figured out a little more ;u;). How they interact will definitely depend on how your pack worships, but I'd be open to it ending either way-- in a rivalry/war or an alliance/friendly relationship! :D We'll just have to see what happens organically~

Just wanted to say I enjoyed reading your lore & it really inspired me to write my own!! The whole pantheon you created is just so interesting (Bibliama especially her concept is so cool). Might make a lil fanart someday.
