Fuck it

Was a stupid complaint anyway.

I personally don't care about inbreeding, but I do tend to avoid it right now just because, as you've pointed out, inbred wolves are almost worthless in the market. The mods I believe have stated that inbreeding has no effect in the game at all, so it's all in the head of the players basically. But in order for my pups to be relevant at all in the market, I have to be careful.

See and that's what makes me so mad! Because unless you have a pure genepool you can't sell shit. They're worthless and it makes the economy unfair to new or time pinched players. I personally don't do it because while yes, I'm meticulous, I get overwhelmed very easily. I want all of my hard work and money to mean something but the encouragement and allowance staff have given clean breeding makes it impossible to really be successful and have the funds to enjoy the full potential of the game without the meticulous and frankly expensive clean playstyle.

Yes, or you have to have multiple wolves to breed with that have separate and unrelated family trees. Which can be very frustrating, especially right now early on, because most special base or mutation wolves are somehow related. That and space is very expensive so it's kind of annoying that way. It can all get very expensive and time consuming. It's one of my least favorite parts of the game because it makes it less fun imo.

In my opinion, I don't mind some inbred, especially if theres some RMA etc markings *or if the pupper is just pretty. I do look into inbred wolves, but more likely to go for clean, since as you stated, they're worth more to some of the higher paying wolvden players. I totally agree that the lines shouldn't cause such a big front on any wolf, a mutation is a mutation. However I do know there are players out there who don't mind putting in the extra currency for an inbred mutation! If I were to recommend an easier way to catch the eye of a clean line breeder, high stats can definitely catch their eye, even if the wolf is inbred. I feel your pain about the decors etc, it can be so upsetting :((

It really does. And people get so mad when you bring it up, like you're crazy or something. I don't care about the gameplay, I just care about the value gap that staff lets players perpetuate with clean breeding. I spend legit money on this game (which is my own choice and shouldn't effect others) so it's absolutely shattering when a wolf I spent a lot of money on buying, customizing, and breeding makes pups that are pretty much worth dirt regardless of their markings or muts.

It makes it hard to enjoy the game because you can't make any money and if you do clean breed just for profit, you have to treat it like a job instead of a game. The market is a HUGE part of the game which is what makes staff allowing the value gap so detrimental to gameplay.

As someone who avoids inbreeding, I get where you are coming from. While I shy away from inbreeding as a personal challenge, for some reason, to make the game more difficult, the fact that it is so widespread and forces people to play in a way they dislike upsets me. I always make it very clear in my studs that I will not turn down someone who comes at me with an inbred pup or even one of my own children. That's not for me to decide, especially when inbreeding isn't an actual problem in the game.

Hopefully as the game progresses and more updates are put in to help balance the market, such pups will become more valued. Heck, I have a hard time selling my own pups so at this point I don't bother.

If you still need that heatwave I've got one I don't mind selling to you, that way you don't need to be so stressed out about it.

Oml yes please. That would make my life so much easier.

It won't balance out. Staff play clean so it would hurt them so they won't change it. Look at Lioden. Unless you have a rare or fatal mut or a rare/legendary marking cubs are worthless. It makes the game stressful instead of fun like it should be. I just want my hard work and time to payout you know? Like let people inbreed or clean breed, just don't encourage them to absolutely wreck the economy with it.

I'll admit, with lioden I didn't pay attention much to the market. I inbred like there was no tomorrow and just kinda did my own thing because...well, but the time I joined there was so much and it was all so overwhleming there was no way I would feel confident. With wolvden it felt like a fresh start I could actually follow and pay attention to.

But yeah, I get where you are coming from. I play in my own way and it makes me happy, and you shouldn't be punished for playing in your own way. Anyways, I'll message you about the heatwave and we can figure out a price. :)
