Who are the Big Named Studs?

Who are the Big Named Studs?

I'm curious, who are all of the big-named wolves that people often want to avoid in family lineages? I often see the 'big 4' or some such title, and I'm just curious who those wolves are?

Leaderboard/Stats:

Michael Scott, Faelor, Shadow (Sunfall is Michael Scott/Shadow lineage, Faelor is a G2 but he's the source of almost all of his relatives.)

Other leaderboard, including lines not currently on the board (not generally avoided unless someone is avoiding *all* leaderboard lines):

Jay (G1)/Enigma/Oleander, Emperor and by extension his G1 dad Sol, Grimoire and by extension his G1 dad Itai.

Merle:

Penobscot and Orion are the big ones but I also see Konziquences around quite a bit. Not sure what gen they all are off the top of my head.

Albino:
Hanta and Ursa mostly.

Melanism:

The Moof (G1)/Ghost at Twilight, I also see Korosho and Toboe pretty often but I'm not really super familiar with mel wolf lineages. Only certain about Moof being super common.

T3s:
There's some T3 lines that aren't included in the above and are more common than others, but generally speaking,  Faelor is THE fox stud because he was the first to receive the base, so he's extremely common in T3 lines and T3s descended from him are less desired.

These aren't all necessarily "avoid like the plague" lines, though I'd say Michael, Shadow and Faelor are getting there, since there's a lot of studs related to them.

I've been trying to pick a stud for my first go at breeding.  So many of them are related to Michael Scott/Michael Skarn, or Shadow, that I've resorted to discarding all the studs with those lineages.   If nothing else it narrows down the field, I guess.

Parhelion and Mor'du are other names I've seen around a lot.  And Penobscot seems to the the ancestor of most of the merles.

There's also like... 4 different studs named "Oleander" that I've come across just to make thing extra confusing, lol.

@Jill For what it's worth you can sort out wolves with identical names by checking the IDs

I'm sure it's not comprehensive but I know there's at least one thread listing common studs. I feel like I've seen others but this is the first I could remember/find:

Would Sango be consider one? He has a lot of pups.

Yeah, I think Sango would now count as a big stud - he didn’t have 1000+ pups when that list was originally written.

Possibly also Beauregarde, since he’s also now hit 1000+ - although, given his age, it’s his pups you’re more likely to encounter as studs.

IMO Sango would count as big among wolves in general (like its v easy to find wolves from less prolific studs) but medium/small among T3s, since it's fairly hard to find a t3 with Sango as the only t3 ancestor. There are quite a few up and coming base changed foxes though which might make him less small by comparison.
