Why Wolvden is Awesome!!

yesterday, I logged into Lioden and remembered why I spend more time on Wolvden :') but I also have been wanting to list all of Wolvden's amazing (and superior) features for a while, so here's my list!

good things Wolvden has that Lioden also has:

• beautiful art!
• detailed and interesting gameplay
• a personality system

good things Wolvden has that Lioden doesn't have >:)

• an easy-to-follow tier system
• a better forum layout :')
• better currency system (not as difficult to make moneys)
• a fishing minigame! :D
• better biomes imo— plus living in certain biomes has different pros/cons
• a BETTER personality system!
• (more accessible) herbalism
• a more welcoming community, from my experience <3
• a furry wardrobe! :D !!
• christmas trees! lol (and colder biomes)

bad things in Lioden that Wolvden doesn't have!!

• awkward sex jokes, inuendos and explore encounters :')
• main lion has to be male

good things in Lioden that are confirmed to be updates in the future here (I'm pretty sure ^^")

• karma system
• more mutations
• events

I dont know anything about lioden but I love love love the background art. It all feels so magical?? It's my favorite part of the artwork

I am floored by how well they listen to their players! Maybe I've just had bad experiences with similar-type games before, but I kinda rolled my eyes when the Game Development board first came out because I've never seen a website actually seem to take any cues from what's being posted on boards like that. They always just feel like a way to mollify players. When the pair bonding update came out I was stunned because I'd never legitimately thought they'd change the way the breeding system works just because some players didn't like it. 

And the new gene scrying! So many sites I've been on before would have just yanked the ability to see mutations in the scrying stone and removed any ability to check for carriers, not added in a whole new feature to accommodate that desire. It really makes me enjoy the game more, knowing that the developers are actually listening to suggestions and taking note of what players are doing and how they can make it more enjoyable for them. 

And on a different note, the rollover thing may be my favorite thing ever. It's such a relief to know that if I can't, for whatever reason, play for a bit, all I have to do is just not log on. Games that continue to progress and age your animals or let your crops die or whatever are so stressful to me and the rollover alleviates a lot of that. 

What HollowWorld said! It's nice to know the devs are actually listening, and trying their best to improve features while also not messing up other aspects of the site as well. Also really refreshing to know that my wolves won't starve to death when I'm not logged on, which was my biggest worry before I joined Wolvden over a month ago :')

This site is a big dream come true for me, as someone who loves to play around with genetics & care for animals! Reminds me of Happy Pets...ahh, the nostalgia...
