Design purchased from Therbis. Proof can be viewed here.

Name: Tarkik.

Inuit word meaning moon.

Pack: Eagleheart.

Rank: Herbalist.

Age: 3 years old.

Gender: Genderflux (He/They).

Sexuality: Demisexual & Panromantic.

Physical Description: Sporting a coat made up of creams, tans and light browns; Tarkik’s pelt is often sprinkled with dirt and splattered by mud from rummaging around in search of herbs, eager to learn their uses and incorporate them into his practice. He'll go herb hunting anywhere from the bottom of a pond to the branches of a tree towering miles above his head and his fur is rarely clean as a result.

The lad's build is lanky and long-legged, most of his gangling frame hidden by his thick fur. His almond shaped eyes are a bright shade of lemon yellow, proving very expressive. You'll always know what Tarkik is feeling from his eyes if not his expression. The youthful herbalist is not free of scarring, his left ear quite tattered and tail crooked (not shown in art).

His nose and paw-pads are a dark pink-ish hue while his claws are a muddy brown.

Personality Traits:

+ Kind - While practical, Tarkik is not unkind and hopes things will work out for the best regardless of the situation, as naïve as that can come across. Optimistic and bubbly, he always tries to see the silver lining and you can always count on Tarkik to be optimistic. Compassionate and desiring nothing more than to simply be useful, Tarkik’s avoidance of confrontation and the way he flinches away at any sign of conflict seem to hint at an unpleasant life before finding his current pack.

/ Pacifistic - Tarkik is a non-aggressive wolf and would rather avoid a fight, uninterested in involving himself in any form of brutality. His combat skills are exceptionally poor as a result.

- Clumsy - To say the least, Tarkik is a bit of a hapless mess. Clumsy and a tad anxious, he means well but isn't always the best at his job just yet. He knows the herbs and the methods, but the assertiveness and confidence required of a proper healer still seem to allude him.

Relations:

Mother: Ikkuma (Unknown).

Father: Sitka (Unknown).

Siblings: Yakone & Amka (Unknown).

Mate: None.

Friends: Tempest.

Backstory: A former omega found to have some use as a healer. His existence in and of itself is a miracle, born from an unapproved pair-up as well as being the runt of the litter. Tarkik spent most of his young life trying to keep out of the way of angry packmates and at times still flinches away from his new pack members in expectation of pain despite none of them ever lifting a claw against him. He eventually left his birth pack in hopes of finding a better life elsewhere, finding such among the Eagleheart wolves.

His experience as a healer upon first arrival was poor. It's not necessarily through any fault of his own. He'd never had a proper teacher. Often in the wild, the only things you have at your disposal for a wound are cobwebs and healers were kept around to more or less judge the severity of injuries, watching over sick or injured wolves until they either got better or died. A gloomy job truly. He's always wanted to do better and now he has the chance.

Taught the ropes by the previous herbalist and only retiring once she was confident he knew everything she could teach him, Tarkik has since proved capable despite his shortcomings.

Accessories: Enjoys collecting stones he finds by the river.

Extra: He keeps a garden close to camp for easy gathering of certain herbs.

Roleplay Sample: (This sample is from another roleplay I used Tarkik in which he had a very similar role. If you prefer I write a fresh sample though I'll try to do that sometime tomorrow!)

Tarkik could hardly smell anything through the pungent scent currently wreathing around him, wafting from the thick wad of plants gingerly carried between his jaws. Although the delicate purple flowers carried a strong aroma, it wasn't at all an unpleasant one, and the young wolf's spirits were high as he followed the trail back to camp. Using herbs for healing hadn't been a common practice among his former pack, it was quite a unique method, and Tarkik was eager to learn more. A stranger on his travels once informed him this particular plant, lavender he believed, was good for bringing down a fever. Perhaps one of the other herbalists would be able to confirm if such a claim was valid.

The tension hit him long before his packmates came into sight, gathered around their sovereign as he revealed important news. The flowers dropped from Tarkik's maw, falling around his paws. He must have heard wrong...the disease was back? The herbalist licked his mouth nervously as Yifan issued out orders and reinstated the old laws, his words threatening, ending his speech with a chilling snarl that ensured them all the price for dissent was death. Tarkik couldn't help flinching further back into the crowd, ears pressing flat against his skull and tail tucked between his hind legs.

Even knowing he was unlikely to break any, the promise of violence for any who disobeyed the new rules left him fretful and trembling. Once the other wolves around him began to disperse, talking amongst themselves or else getting on with their duties, Tarkik finally calmed himself enough to attempt recollecting his dropped goods. However, he came to find that most of them were trampled and dirtied beyond use. He nosed a tattered petal sadly and sighed, lemon colored eyes scanning the camp hopelessly. Where were the other herbalists? Was there anything specific they should be doing?

Before long, his gaze settled on Maculoses just as she posed an important question, Kismet's words bringing him a sense of comfort and renewed vigor. The pale-coated female was right. Panic would solve nothing. He must be strong. He must find courage. The pack would need him. "I would like to know that as well..." He agreed meekly, voice barely above a whisper and still dreadfully shaky despite his attempts to keep his voice level. "E-even if it is t-the same disease i-it m-may have changed. Evolved. S-sometimes a sickness will seem to die out and then return years upon years later worse than ever. We should prepare ourselves."

Elka, Tempest, & Kirameku are all accepted!

The 'high ranks' will be accepted on Monday when the roleplay is planned to start (if there is no competition for their role)!

@Woodkin, Tarkik's roleplay sample is great! No need to change it :)

@Quillflight, I will put up Deathbringer's name when his sheet is fully completed ^^ also, you might have to take an actual screenshot of his appearance and upload it to a site like https://postimages.org/, then copy the direct link and paste it into the picture bar!

Name: Akira.

Japanese name meaning bright and clear dawn.

Age: 2.6 years old.

Gender: Male (He/Him).

Sexuality: Pansexual.

Pack: Swanfeather.

Rank: Guard.

Physical Description: A patchwork of pale, muted colors with a hint of  cooler undertones. Akira is primarily a shade of dusty white with grizzled flint and hazel hairs forming a saddle across his back. The tip of his tail, backs of his ears and a half-mask covering his stark white eyes are a dulled black hue. His skin, nose and pawpads are a marbled pink and black while his claws hold a likeness to  the hue of dried bones. Build wise he is tall, lean and moderately muscled.

Personality Traits:

+ Clement - Though possessing a fierce persona on the battlefield as well as an aloof and ferocious attitude toward outsiders, Akira is far from unkind. The majority of his packmates will find him quiet and reserved, but also helpful, dedicated, gentle and compassionate. So much so it would be difficult to imagine him capable of frightening violence until one witnesses it.

/ Selfless - While caring for others is hardly a flaw, Akira can take it a step too far. He was brought up to view himself as a protector with little value for his life if the choice were preserve his own existence or those of others and he takes that training quite seriously. Akira is more than willing to put himself on the line guard his packmates.

- Intense - His personality drastically changes when facing down an opponent, taking out threats with brutal efficiency. Despite coming across as cold and ruthless to outsiders, this isn't the whole picture. Akira doesn't take pleasure in causing suffering, only seeking to defend those that rely on him. How he treats a trespasser or aggressor can depend entirely on how they present themselves. Anyone who steps foot near another Swanfeather wolf with intent to harm, for example, is certainty in for an unpleasant time, and may not leave the encounter still breathing.

Backstory: Though born and raised within Swanfeather's borders, Akira's upbringing was possibly a tad on the unusual side. His parents were eccentric, loyal and affluent packmembers, but they were also what some might refer to as a fanatics. They raised their children to be weapons; protecting the pack at all costs and treating all outsiders as enemies as well as instilling a deep hatred for Crowskull.

Young and influential, Akira was committing acts of shocking violence at an uncomfortably young age. The leadership concluded before long they couldn't allow it to continue.

When Chizu and Eiko refused to change their ways the alpha had little choice but to exile them, and neither wolf has been seen since. Attempts were made to undue the damage done by their parents to varying levels of success. Akira clearly understands boundaries and when a violent response is inappropriate, but that intensity never quite left him.

Relations:

Mother: Chizu (Unknown).

Father: Eiko (Unknown).

Siblings: Fumiko, Haru (Living NPCs/Adoptable).

Mate: None.

Accessories: None.

 ~ Owl ~

- - -

- - -

NAME
Owl
Nicknames: None (Owl is already a short name)

PACK
Eagleheart
RANK
Omega

AGE
2 years 1 month

BIOLOGICAL GENDER
Female (She/Her)
SEXUALITY
Heteroromantic Heterosexual

- - -

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Owl's pelt is mixed with many different hues. Her sides are soft brown, with darker, reddish-purple markings splattered across her spine. Her shoulders and flanks are colored with rich russet hues, which fade to pale gold lower on her legs. Her tail is primarily reddish-brown, with a band of pale beige breaking it up. Her most distinctive markings, however, are on the female's undersides; they are crisp white, with beige edging, and on her face she has a heart-shaped white mask - resembling a barn owl's, and being the cause for her name. Her eyes are rimmed with a darker beige hue, and her eyebrows are distinctly emphasized by this same color. Her eyes themselves are warm golden, which turn almost lime green in certain lights.

She is finely built, with long, slender legs and streamlined proportions. She is slim, and her tail is short and noticeably tufty. Her muzzle is slender and dainty, with a rounded instead of pointed tip, and a small scar traces its way along the side of her muzzle and down her lip. The scar is pale and faint, an old injury from an overly aggressive packmate when she was younger, and doesn't seem to hurt. She has short, but rather scruffy and ruffled fur; it's naturally wiry and has a tendency to stick out at all angles, and Owl doesn't seem to bother grooming her pelt.

- - -

PERSONALITY
+ Friendly, Trustworthy
/ Optimistic, Forgiving, Passive, Curious
~ Resigned, Apathetic

Friendly. Despite her rank as omega, and sometimes being harassed or taunted, Owl is surprisingly friendly and will approach anyone with a smile on her face and tail wagging.
Trustworthy. Owl isn't the type to gossip or lie about someone behind their back. She's honest and trustworthy to even wolves she doesn't know that well.
Optimistic. This might seem like a good trait, but Owl can be a little too optimistic - believing the best of any wolf, or only seeing the good things that can come of a situation. Well, she's aware of bad things that could happen - but chooses to pretend that they won't happen. This can make her seem a little naive or ignorant at times.
Forgiving. Owl forgives easily, even those who have hurt her before. She will always give someone a second chance - and probably a third and fourth chance as well. She can be easy to manipulate in this way, but it can also be a good trait in certain situations.
Passive. Owl hates fighting - she doesn't know if she even can fight. She always tries to resolve situations without drama or bloodshed if she possibly can. This means she can't defend herself well (or at all), but she is sometimes able to convince others to calm down and treat the situation with less aggression, despite her very low rank.
Curious. Although she may be a passive and somewhat apathetic wolf at times, that doesn't mean that Owl isn't curious. She is always interested to hear any news or stories, and usually hangs around a safe distance away when something interesting is going on.
Resigned. Owl is resigned to her rank as omega, and never tries to fight back or increase her rank. She lets other wolves taunt her and sometimes even attack her without trying to do anything about in. In some situations, this might be good, but Owl is overly resigned to her "fate" as omega and doesn't try to change it.
Apathetic. Again, Owl is a passive wolf and she doesn't even try to defend herself if she's being attacked, either verbally or physically. The omega doesn't ever try to learn to fight or defend herself, and lets herself be pushed around.

- - -

RELATIONS
Mother: Lavender (Deceased)
Father: Unknown
Siblings: Finch (Loner NPC, Brother, Unknown)
Other Family: None/Unknown
Mate: None

BACKSTORY
Owl was born as a loner with her brother, Finch. Her mother, Lavender, hadn't particularly wanted children, but felt it was her responsibility to raise the two. She never taught them how to hunt or even really how to scavenge, however. When she left to hunt one day and didn't return, when the siblings were about 7 months old, the two didn't mourn her terribly - they weren't close, and for all they knew she may have just abandoned them. But they did have the problem of being unable to get themselves food. Owl stayed in the den that night, shocked and confused. When she woke up in the morning, Finch was gone - he'd struck out on his own, abandoning his sister. Owl set out into the world to try and survive.

By the time she was 9 months old, she was scrawny, weak, and still couldn't hunt. When she found the Eagleheart pack, she realized she'd get food there and begged to be let in, promising that she would do anything in her power to make it worthwhile. They agreed - on the condition she became omega. She was allowed into the pack, where she soon came to realize what being omega - especially a loner who was now an omega - meant, her packmates often taunting her. Some of them were kind to her, but most were indifferent at best. Owl resigned herself to having this rank, as long as it meant eating. At about 1 year old, she got the scar on her snout when an overly aggressive young wolf from the pack attacked her. The wolf was scolded, but Owl just became more apathetic, accepting that this would be her life now. She tries her best to be friendly and helpful to her packmates, though, even if they are sometimes cruel to her.

- - -

ACCESSORIES
Owl wears a flower crown whenever she can. Most often, it's arnica (as pictured), but she'll wear other flowers if she finds them.
EXTRA
I hope it's okay for her packmates to taunt her and stuff, and that's not too out of character for Eagleheart? If it is I'll change her backstory a bit, and change the origin of her scar.

@Woodkin, I love Akira! He is accepted ^^

@speedyscout, Owl's scar and such are perfectly fine! While most of Eagleheart is 'peacekeeper-esque', there will always be the wolves that stick out. She is accepted!

Name
: Abalyne (Abby)
Pack: Crowskull
Rank: Guard
Age
: 3 Years, 2 Months
Biological Gender: Female (She/Her)
Sexuality: Demiromantic Heterosexual
Physical Description: A smoke-like she-wolf with dangerously bloody eyes. She is grulla-based, but much of that serene coloring is covered by dark blotches, as seen on her back, tail, limbs, and face. Her nose and pads are matte blacks. She has some lighter areas on her, such as on her toes, tail tip, hocks, chest, throat, and inner ears.
Personality Traits:
+ > Loyal: Abalyne will always stick with Crowskull through thick and thin. She could never imagine being in another pack, especially Swanfeather. She also socialized with the high-ranks on a daily to make sure she stays on their good sides.
/ > Fiesty: Abalyne will not hesitate to start a skirmish, and out of all who dared challenge her for her position, none rose victorious. She enjoys Crowskull's aggressive nature with a passion, and she performs her job to the best of her ability.
~ > Unforgiving: Abalyne is definitely one to hold grudges. If you've done her wrong before, she will remember that for a long time. This doesn't bode well with the packmates that have proven unworthy in her eyes from past experiences.
Relations:
Mother: Zindra (deceased)
Father: Orekk (Elderly NPC)
Siblings: Feron (Brother, Guard NPC)
Other Family: None
Mate: None
Backstory: Abalyne was taught her rights and wrongs from the start. Her mother and father made sure that their children grew up to be fine members of Crowskull. They may not grow to be chosen heirs of the throne or other high-ranks, but they would still make a mark on their pack. Zindra was a Pupsitter, and Orekk, a Scout. They were lower jobs, yes, but better than being Omega. While Feron and Abalyne were young, they would never join in the playful hunt-like tussles other pups participated in. Instead, they would watch them, learning from afar. It wasn't until their adolescence when they started getting physical with other packmates. When they fought, they fought as one, and their observations payed off. They gained respect as they climbed higher in the ranks, finally settling as Guards. However, Feron is contemplating whether or not he should take a great risk by becoming a Warrior.
Accessories: She has a wolf fang pierced through her right ear. Whether she put it there or it got stuck there in a fight, no one knows.
Extra: Nope <3

Thanks! Here's my last character at last! Also, apologies for the bios looking a tad on the messy side (esp on mobile for some reason?) Not quite used to WD's formatting yet.

Name: Ivra.

Age: 3 years old.

Gender: Female (She/Her).

Sexuality: Bisexual.

Pack: Crowskull.

Rank: Messenger.

Physical Description: Ebony fur accented with tufts of dark brown along her cheeks, the sides of her neck, down her back as well as her paws, backsides of her legs, and the underside of her tail covers Ivra's lean, sinuous frame. Her piercing orange eyes always hold a look of cold disinterest or red hot fury, like tiny flames contained within her irises. Ivra's nose, pawpads, and claws are the darkest points of her body, jet black in coloration, and several scars can be found parting her fur, the most notable being a slash across her face. As far as size goes she isn't the most muscular wolf to be found within Crowskull and often appears quite slender and lithe when standing next to some of them, but her height is enough to rival some of her male counterparts.

Personality Traits:

+ Dedicated: Not a soul could claim Ivra doesn't have passion for Crowskull. Her parents might've been former outsiders, but Ivra has put her heart and soul into serving the pack she was born into. She takes her position quite seriously, and though she was trained as a messenger Ivra proves just as capable a hunter and fighter. An overachiever to the max, she strives to be not just good, but excellent at any task she commits herself to.

/ Protective - Despite viewing the majority of her kin as pathetic weaklings, especially her sibling Mosren who is considered the embarrassment of the family, Ivra keeps a close eye on how her packmates treat her family. Mosren, being the pack omega, is especially prone to ridiculr. While openly supporting them isn't something Ivra is too keen on anyone who takes their bullying too far will have to contend with her.

- Harsh - This she-wolf is far from pleasant. With a bite quite possibly worse than her bark, it's best not to get on Ivra's bad side. Though, whether she actually has a good side is debatable. Her face is nearly always set in a scowl, ready to aim a sneer or snarl in the direction of any wolf who makes an attempt at getting too chummy. Her demeanor is ice cold over all. Praise and kind words are rare to hear and even her own siblings and mother are not exempt from her sharp tongue.

Backstory: Born to a pair of loners who made the tough decision to give up their individual freedom to provide a safe home for their offspring, Ivra and her siblings were born within the whelping dens of Crowskull and raised up as one of them. The small family adjusted to their new pack quite well, Ivra especially embracing the traditions and culture of Crowskull, eager to prove she was one of them despite her outsider blood.

As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. Something in her father Ameer changed and he begun shunning Crowskull's way of life. Sickened and embarrassed of him, Ivra disowned him and refused contact with him though Ameer had always been a kind and gentle father. A day came when Ameer stopped showing up, nowhere to be found. It was assumed by many, Ivra included, that he took the coward's way out and abandoned his pack, his family. Ivra hates him for it.

Mosren, on the other paw, seems to have taken all of their father's blasphemy to heart. Another embarrassment, though Ivra can't help still feeling the pull of familial love for the fool. Ivra does all she can to make up for her family's perceived weakness, presenting herself as an ideal and loyal packmember.

Relations:

Mother: Aesira (Living NPC).

Father: Ameer (Missing).

Siblings: Mosren (Alive - Played by Lady Seer), Caelio (Living NPC/Adoptable).

Mate: None.

Accessories: A necklace woven from vibes with a trio of teeth dangling at the bottom.

NAME

Mosren [Moz - ren]

“Moss” “Ren”

PACK

Crowskull

RANK

Omega

AGE

3 years

GENDER

Nonbinary [she/her + they/them, but they don’t really give a heck]

SEXUALITY

Panromantic + Demisexual

APPEARANCE

Mosren holds themselves rather lowly. Befitting their place as an Omega. It’s easy to see that this wolf has had their empowerment stripped from them in some way. Those who knew them growing up will see a shell of an outgoing, happy-go-lucky individual. Their head stays lowered, their ears never perked in social situations, and their tail sloping inward towards their belly. Amber eyes near constantly downcast or looking anywhere but other wolves. Unless, of course, they’re not looking.

Mosren is a wolf of dark coloring, befitting their home within Crowskull. Onyx hues gather around their face, legs, and belly, melding pleasantly with umber and hickory hues. Hints of vibrant cinnamon sit upon their shoulders and tip the ends of the fur along their back, leading down to their tail, peppering itself within the umber. A lighter, but still dulled beige sits at Mosren’s chest, draining down to sit at the backs of their legs, following the curve of their leg to the bottoms of their paws, delicately decorating their toes.

A few scars mark their flesh. It’s no surprise considering their position within the pack. A few times things got worse than usual, and a wolf went too far. Ivra, their sister, intervened before it could get worse, but the marks never quite went away. One marks their forehead, another their paw, and the last and most recent is the thigh.

DEMEANOR

+ > Kind: Mosren is widely known for their kindness. Even if it wasn’t their rank, they would gladly help with anything you needed. Mosren is willing to offer you an ear to listen, or a shoulder to lean upon, should you need it. They would take the oxygen out of their own chest to help someone, if they could. This kindness only strengthens in regards to their (remaining) family.

/ > Devoted: Mosren is someone that throws themselves into everything. There’s really no hesitation. They’re extraordinarily devoted to their family and to their beliefs. If they find something to believe in, and it checks out, they’ll jump right in.

~ > Weak-willed: Mosren is a shell of themselves. When they were young, they had all the confidence in the world. Too big for their body, almost. And it only took one disappearing parent to crush it to dust. Now, Mosren doesn’t really know how to hold their own. There’s a tremble in their words, most days, and they don’t quite know how to stand up for themselves anymore. It has been buried deep, and perhaps lost forever.

RELATIONS

Aesira - [ Mother ] - Alive, NPC

“You were my mother. Now you’re a stranger.”

Ameer - [ Father ] - Missing

“Where did they take you?”

Ivra - [ Sister ] - Played by Woodkin

“I love you. Even if your words sting”

Caelio - [ Brother ] - NPC, Adoptable

“Your silence spoke volumes. Your disinterest stings.”

Mate: None

BACKSTORY

Mosren was born into the Crowskull pack, but not as a pureblood member. Their parents met as loners, and fell in love. They had bonded and traveled together for some time before they began to want for more. A family, if you will. They were worried about not being able to support themselves and their pups. They were good hunters, sure! But the lack of protection given by the life of a loner was something that discouraged them. They didn’t want to bring their children into this life only for their lives to be cut short.

So they decided to join a pack that would give them and their pups the protection they needed to live and thrive. A pack that knew how to hold its own, a pack that didn’t allow weakness to fester. A pack that would give their children the skills needed to survive. Crowskull was their best bet, and they were accepted.

Fast forward, and three pups were born to the former loners. They raised their children with the ideals of Crowskull, falling heavily into the traditions and behavior of the pack that had given them a home, a safe place to raise their young. But nothing good lasts for long. Ameer, their father, saw something he didn’t like. Something that traumatized him. He had been a loving wolf before, gentle with his family, harsh with others. After the incident, he refused all violence. Not exactly something smart to do within Crowskull. He became an anomaly within the pack. Spoke out against violence, and refused to show teeth. He tried to draw his pups from the traditions and behavior of Crowskull. One listened. The other disregarded and beheld their father as a coward. A weakling. Another kept to themselves.

Mosren listened. And listened close. They had held the zest and confidence that most pups possessed before being touched by life, but suddenly became much more reluctant to scrap with their peers, and their siblings. This only worsened when, suddenly, their father disappeared. There was no sign of him anywhere. Not a sight, not a scent. They don’t know whether he left, or if someone had decided to take him out after all of his talks on benevolence and peace.

ACCESSORIES

None.

EXTRAS

The effect that Ameer had on Mosren was immense, and their spontaneous disappearance made it worse. Mosren assumed the worst — that someone had decided they had enough of Ameer’s differing opinions and dedication to peace and benevolence and decided to silence them for good. This pushed them into a long period of silence, and they wilted under the eyes of the pack. Their change was drastic and visible, and grief was the excuse given by Aesira. Their continued lack of fighting spirit quickly earned them the Omega rank.

(I apologize if things look a bit wacky. I'm a bit rushed to do this <3)
