oooh awesome stuffs! :o so could i set up a character so long? i wouldn't post it yet ofc. but, how exactly do messengers/scouts work? i'd like to reserve one in swanfeather for the moment but i might not actually take the role, if that's okay? i just want to make sure i know what i'm getting into lol.

edit: so, designed my character, but some questions: what sort of names are allowed? like, human names, flower names, bird names, etc.? can my wolf's "family" just be like, npcs? & last, sorry if i'm being dumb, but i don't see a place for pack or rank on the form :o where would that go?

Hiya, @speedyscout! I'm glad you asked all of these questions, so I have the chance to answer them :) Messenger/Scouts are mostly Scouts, working like how they do in WD itself, but they can be used as spies if it comes to that. Whenever their alpha/king/queen has a message they need to get out to another alpha/king/queen, they will give this information to their scout. This also means that being a Messenger/Scout means the alpha/king/queen trusts you greatly when they give you a message!

I'm also very glad you asked about names because it'd be a bit weird to see "Caroline" interacting with "Raven". Two whole different sides of the spectrum! Honestly, when I think of names for animals, I'll either go to a generator and pick out the coolest one I find, or I look at their base color and think of nature-related names that match. One of my main go-to's, however, is converting regular English words to another language. If you look, my whole pack is Japanese-named (except for the Alpha and his mate xD).
So, I guess what I'm saying is go crazy when it comes to names, but maybe try to keep it within wolf-standards (pretty much no human-like or human-related names)? I was even thinking about giving the packs their own name system..? What do you think?

As for NPC family members, yes, it's completely alright to have family members as NPCs, because I don't expect you to make a character sheet for literally everyone in the family. However, you can make a character sheet for another family member (like a sibling or offspring) later on if you feel they are important or just like how they are coming along in general. You could also ask other people to play the role of a family member or close one!

On to where the pack and the ranks can be found, they should be on the character sheet forum! That is where I am putting the reservations and, when the roleplay starts, the actual characters.

Okay, that makes sense for the messengers. Hmm... I think I'll just make my first wolf a hunter for now, and if I get the chance perhaps create a messenger later.
As for the names, I'd love to see them being unique for different packs! :D And yeah, natural stuff is probably best, or a few other-language/"made-up" sounding names.
That sounds good for the family members ^v^
Lastly, I was asking about the character sheet thing itself :o I didn't see a spot to put the rank and pack! ^^' Hope I'm not being dumb lol-

Also, which pack will your hunter go in? I'm guessing Swanfeather?

I also think I'll make the nature-related names for EH, the "made-up" (/generated, ig?) for CS, and different-languaged for SF, but which language, I'm not sure... I was thinking of just going with Japanese again xD-

Yep, my hunter'll be Swanfeather. And I like those ideas :) Japanese names would probably fit Swanfeather, since they're quite elegant, right? ^v^
