Heirloom Wolves

Posted 2021-02-04 12:14:50

Apologies for necro'ing the thread, but just checking in who is still actively working on this.

I'm not breeding yet as I don't want to overburden myself too early with pups, but I'm planning to do a sort of combination heirloom/clean/hard-mode breeding project. (Well.. we'll see if I can stick to it but that's the plan for now.) So when I am ready to start breeding it would definitely be nice to have others' studs to breed to etc.

I was wondering what the word was for this! I'm also heirloom breeding and clean breeding. I'm still trying to figure out what my breeding goals are but I'm very interested in seeing what I can do with the genetics of the wolves I have.

Glad to see there are still other people doing this. :)

I'm not sure if it's helpful or wanted (and by all means please tell me if it's not), but I have been periodically checking the trading center for interesting NBWs that are decently priced and saw this boy linked below. I'm not going to make a habit of spamming the thread with these, I'm just a little enthusiastic from still being new.

He's 30 SC which may be high for a NBW, I'm still feeling out prices.

Found two more trades for NBWs that are relatively cheap. Both 25 SC however both are diagnosed with fleas and on breeding cooldowns.

(I'm not going to post like this more than once a day, and if even that is annoying for real please tell me to stop.)

100% CHASER with Black Shaded mark

Her base is only tier I (Ashen) but her Black Shaded mark is 100%.

100% pupsit tier2+shaded

Tier II (Feldspar) and 23% Honey Shaded.

@Quillflight I didn't really want to reply since I'm new but I don't see why you couldn't inbreed heirloom wolves. However it does seem like a lot of the folks in this thread (I think) are trying to avoid inbreeding so I would just make sure to let people know if you sell/stud to anyone else.

@everyone: I caved in and started breeding. These two are both G2, parents both heritageless. However the stud did have marking applicators applied to him so the father is not Heirloom if that is significant. I would prefer just using all heirlooms but... that basically rules out studding to like 99% of wolves I think. Anyway I'm not looking to sell them for anything really, so just let me know if you're interested.

Male, Black (T1), 5 Markings (3 are black markings)

@Gnoll, little cuties!

I just had this litter each has 4-6 markings and the last two are TII bases :) Second gen (both parents NBWs), mother has no markings applied but not sure about the father.

Just wanted to make sure everyone here has seen this community planned event coming up soon. They're chasing a bunch of T3s around February 27th/28th, so be ready to watch for any chased wolves that show up as NBWs.
