Lucky Feet vs Toys

So is it just me, or is the blue jay giving anyone else mostly lucky feet? It's really making me mad,because I desperately need those toys and then when I give said blue jay a hard to find acorn it gives me a lucky foot that rarely works?!

Like No you stupid bird!!! I need toys from you not a Lucky Foot!!

I never get Lucky Feet from the bluejay. I only know it gives them because of guides. I hardly ever give acorns to the blue jay because I've got toys coming out my ears most of the time (how did I end up with so many owl talons??).
