Shade sat quietly thinking. Why couldnt he have just answered her question? His shyness got in the way and he hated it

Lydia got up again, making her way around the ship deck. She avoided the other shifter, ignoring him as she made her slow rounds.

Shade sat quietly sighing softly as he stared up at the sky."hmmmm what should i do?" he tapped his chin 

Lydia shifted back to human, sitting on the smaller deck with a roped off area. She pulled her cutlass out, cleaning it while she hummed a small tune to herself.

Shade sat quietly moving to go where the female had gone he stood quietly watching her trying to think of something to say

Lydia sensed his presence but ignored him. She sharpened the blade somewhat and swished it through the air before slicing across the chest of a dummy near her. It split, but not cleanly enough. She went back to sharpening.

Shade stared at her quietly still deciding effectively not to say anything at all so he just went back the way he came

Lydia rolled her eyes as he departed and let the whet. She began to practice slowly, after their last mishap with another ship her wrist fractured. It healed perfectly fine, but it was stiff and annoying. 

Shade sighed muttering to himself as he stared at the sky knowing the female was not happy with him at all

Lydia left off after a bit and sheathed her sword. She headed back to the main deck, where Timmy (they never knew his real name, and Timmy was simple. It stuck.) was climbing down from the human roost. "Want me to go up?" She asked and he nodded. "There's another shifter on board. You would've seen him. Just tell the captain, would ya?" Timmy yawned but nodded, muttering "Good luck staying awake up there." Before she started to climb and he left.
