Bzz bzz

Howdy, I just joined this site after following a rabbit hole about good animal sim games and following Xylax on deviantArt. It seems pretty fun! I love the idea of breeding for better coat colors, and I'm already semi-familiar with how it works thanks to being on LioDen for a little while a couple years ago(Can't remember my username or anything though, ahah....)

You can call me Sorrel! I like Pokemon, Hollow Knight, and animal genetics. I also play and run a couple tabletop RPG games (Systems my group/s use are DnD 5e, BlackHack, and FATE). I'm also fond of drawing, and I have a dA under SourHour. I am also trying to learn how to code, and have an in-progress website, though it's very unfriendly to mobile right now,,

It's nice to meet you Sorrel! I've been here since the official launch. Feel free to ask me any questions or send me a friend request!

You can call me Jackie! I've got a lot of the same interests as you. I like pokemon, D&D, drawing, and playing with animal genetics.

Currently I'm working on breeding some specific bases and marking into my pack, and working on crafting the newly dropped fox base recipe.

Hi! Sent a friend req real quick. Not sure if I have any specific questions just yet, aside from any tips on making SC? I'm also not sure if I should stick with the pups I bred for the tutorial quests, or try to buy or breed for something a bit better ^^" I just know den space is pretty limited just now.

Ooh, Fox Base? I've seen some foxes in explore but they're usually too high level for me yet,,

Yeah, sc can be kinda tough to make early on. This has personally worked for me.

1st, sell any meat chunks that you find while exploring. There are certain encounters that will always lead you to meat chunks. When exploring, if you see "Follow the rancid smell" or "go West" those always lead to meat chunks.
2. Save any acorns you have an only give them to the possum on the branch while you are exploring. He will give you recipes, and once you learn them you can sell the extras for 10sc each.

For sure make sure you do those daily quests! Those can give you 100-150sc when completed.

As for the pups, honestly that is up to you and how you want to play. Some people try to work their way up without buying new wolves or pups, while others are more interested on breeding in the good bases and markings right away.

Personally I think both pups look super cute. They'll take a long time to become an adult so you have lots of time to decide if you want to keep them or not.

And yup, fox base!

It's the hot new thing right now and is pretty difficult to make. You need to find the recipe first, then gather the parts to craft it. You need a lot of patience or a lot of money, lol.

Ooh, thanks for the tips! I've started selling off my meat chunks now. I've gotten one Acorn, so hopefully I'll encounter the Opossum soon, too.

And gotcha! I may keep them, then, since I like how both look even if they're a bit plain.

Oh, that's really pretty! I'll have to try and work towards it, too, someday.

As long as you like the pups, that's all that matters. They are super cute!

I'll also suggest getting to 7-8 cave slots so that you can have room for 2 scouts, 5 hunters, 1 pupsitter, and 1 herbologist. The last role will be introduced to you on your fourth day, but it's super important since illnesses are a game mechanic.

I'll also add that winter time is the hardest when it comes to hunting, so be mindful of your chow. you may have to save some of those meat chunks.
