WD Art Students

My other career is a media-assistant, that term is quite comprehensive, but my line was animation (2D-3D) and game development, so not necessary an art student, but could fall into a same category? I mainly focused on graphics and in digital art in general. Sadly I had to change my career to something else, since getting an actual job from that field didn't work out for me. Now I'm on security sector, but wouldn't mind doing something art related as a side job. ;; แƒฆ

I think game development could be counted as art!ย

And well, doing art as a side job might be better for many people, that is what I'm going to aim for because I don't believe I would ever be able to do art full time. I'm not on that point yet and well, all the taxes and stuff I would have to do are really scary idea for me haha. So having a part-time job + doing art on the side does sound nice to me.

I doubt I would count tbh. I did a trade school for about two years on graphic arts. I did a lot, but mostly did vector designs for advertising. I enjoyed it, though some clients were entirelyย too picky sometimes. We also did photography and shirts. We did screen printing and vinyl designs, they were fun but hella messy.

I haven't pursued a career in it, but I plan on doing kind of like a side-hustle for some extra money. Though I'm just trying to find reasons for spending $500 on the program I used in trade school (I miss that program, it was fun to just play with).

I'm not an art student but I am required to take some studio art for my major so I'm currently doing that! I am considering minoring in studio art but I'm not quite sure yet. I'd love to become a storyboard artist one day (currently a writing major) so I feel like having an art minor up my sleeve would be helpful.ย

Animation major graduate here! I never actually managed to land an animation career nor do I really care to. I personally think my pursuing it was a waste of time and money and I can land jobs in my field regardless of whether I actually studied or not.ย

That's not to say that art school is a waste for everyone and people should avoid it. If you really want to pursue it, go for it! I support you!

I majored in art history for a short while, and soon I am starting tattoo school :) although technically not art school, itโ€™s an art trade school

๏ปฟI graduated almost a year ago with my BFA in Studio Art! I worked for a while in a ceramic studio, but my boss/the owner was a nightmare to work with so I ended up leaving and becoming a teacher. I'm kinda sad that I'm not paying the bills with art anymore, but I implement a LOT of art projects into my curriculum for my students (they're all 2 years old so this is a lot of fun and very messy) and I get to be an artist again on weekends, so even though I'm not exactly where I want to be, I'm happy. (:

Good on ya for continuing to go for it!! Sometimes I wish I was still back in art school; things at least kinda made sense there lololol

I'm in my third year of studying video game art and design! (So I think that counts??) I'm having a ton of fun with it so far, but the due dates are rough
