Community Art Feedback & Advice

Community Art Feedback & Advice
Posted 2020-11-17 21:05:25 (edited)

Hello y'all, I thought it might be nice to have a dedicated thread going for artists to help other artists with their current works or offering feedback on finished works.

If you're interested in getting feedback, please feel free to post your work in this thread. Make sure to specify whether you are or are not okay with people drawing or painting over your art to show you changes they would suggest ("paintovers appreciated!"/"no paintovers!") and that you are the creator of the artwork.

Remember feedback is not only critique but also letting an artist know what they did well!

Hello!
I would love to get some feedback on my work!
I have no problem with others drawing over my work :) - paintovers appreciated

I love the idea of this topic! :)

I've made a little feedback sheet for you @Aspen. I really like your style and your poses are super cute, but your back legs can be quite a bit large. I got 2 stock images to show how the back legs sit in reference to your first artwork, and when dogs/cats are sitting their legs can actually appear pretty small! Firstly I just showed a very rough line-skeleton for what closer to anatomically correct back legs are on animals, and did a quick paint over on your art. But I also know that with stylised art things are exaggerated to have more personality to them, so I also included an idea of what a slightly closer yet still more stylised for the back leg anatomy could be (but you might still want to push it a little further of course!) Hopefully my writing isn't too shocking, I have terrible handwriting even with a tablet :')

Both animal photos are stock photos and I do not own them.
