The Clean-Line, Low-Bred Pack

Or CLLB for short. A personal project with a thread of it's own to log the changes and the choices made.

My goal is to breed and raise a pack of:
Clean lined, high statted (leaderboard worthy, eventually) wolves with few relatives outside the pack's 4 (?) walls.

Essentially an elite force of wolves with several generations of selective breeding and hard work. Puppies with rare lineages not tied to LB wolves or a large portion of the playerbase. I'm basically trying to play this game as if I played it all alone.

Ideally:
- Wolves are kept until their last heat has passed. After this they're retired or chased.
- Only one female puppy from each litter (+1 male puppy if desired)
- Tier IIs are preferred/kept

Requirements for potential fathers:
- Amount of living offspring must be below 100 at old age (5-6+ years)
- Sire of the stud must have similar counts
- Stud must be 5-6 years old or close to retirement
- Potential half-siblings aren't set to be a high-tier breeding stud
- Stats above 400 (ideally)
- No inbreeding
- Tier II base is a major plus, but isn't required

Rules for selling:
- Sales of pups are non-existent. They must be raised to adulthood, bred once (female) to ensure they aren't sex changed and made into mass-breeders.
- Only one pup from each offspring can be raised to be sold to the outside world.
- Mothers of remaining offspring can't be sold to prevent half-sibling super-studs.
- NBW or lineages that are not pursued/linked may be sold.

---

This thread will mostly serve as a journal of my journey through this attempted project, pretty much..!

I'm open to breeding partners, however I'll have a maximum of 2 partners and they must abide by the rules noted above as well. They must be willing to put in a lot of work to get their wolves past 500 stats minimum and not be impatient with swapping out their wolves for "prettier ones".

The goal is high stats, not pretty markings (however, customizations/RMAs are permitted).

First update 15/11/2020:

My previous litters have all been chased (despite being 300s stats) a few days ago. They were tied to studs with over 200 puppies bred at age 3, which is not tolerable according to my new set of rules. A new lineage has been begun - starting with Chidori's litter containing Ryne and Rasengan's litter of Zodiark and Hydaelyn.

They will either replace Oodama, Sasanoo and Izanami once their time has come (they are due to die before their final litters are grown) or form a second hunting party. With 3 hunters dead I see it as highly likely that hunting team will be disbanded, and the remaining wolves in it either sold or turned into pupsitters.

Byakugan may be sold and not bred - her stats are decent but not quite at the same level as Genkai, Oodama, Sasanoo and Izanami. From those 4 alone I have 4 potential lineages going - I think that's a decent start. I hope to water it out further down the line with a new set of NBW that I raise in other roles after Caspian hits lvl 15.

Hunting parties will be assigned based on who I want statted fast:
Crownguards: Primary stat-gainers
Rebellion: Secondary stat-gainers

Scouts will have their own role and place in the pack and are considered "growers".
Anyone taking over for my Herbalist will be "spares" that I don't necessarily need.

Current puppies Zodiark and Hydaelyn may be chased in favor of waiting for Rasengan's last/later heat - she can still be bred another 4 times before her demise. Will be reconsidered anew once Oodama/Sasanoo's puppies arrive.

Rules for finding studs updated!

I can now use studs with less than 100 produced offspring, provided they're older in age (i.e. no 1-2 year old newly assigned studs who will likely multiply in the thousands). Think this will leave me a little more room to play with for which studs I pick!

On another note, I have earned enough GC to customize a single wolf & change the base of another. I'm debating who to pick - though I'm likely going to customize my lead and work towards steadily customizing my gen 2 pups as well (once they're here).
