(No worries, I understand.)

"At the moment, I think it has to be. This ship probably can't take another dragon attack." Casey says, watching the dragon. It was a powerful beast, no doubt about that. And a dragon attack would explain the fire filling the ship and the way it shook from time to time. But maybe if they could reach the helm, they could have a fighting chance at taking control of this ship and landing it safely. Or... at the very least causing a more controlled crash than what the dragons would cause.

But she was getting ahead of herself in that regard. First they had to reach the helm, and there was no telling whether or not that would be as straight forward as it sounded. At least Us seemed to know where they were heading to find this helm.

(AAGHH SHET - Sorry! I am so, so very sorry. I haven't logged on recently due to some mental health issues and a really low motivation to do much of anything.)

Saege nodded once more as she jogged into the next small area. As her foot landed on something, she felt an unexpected squelch beneath her shoe, causing her to scrunch her nose in disgust. The sound, both peculiar and oddly satisfying, echoed in the quiet surroundings, leaving her momentarily startled. She glanced down to see what had caused it and discovered a small lump of unrecognizable flesh. Quickly stepping away from it, she made her way further into the area.

(No worries, I understand.)

Casey glances back, quirking an eyebrow slightly in a questioning manner as Saege stops in her tracks. Though whatever caused her to stop seemed to have been a minor issue as she seemed to start moving again almost as fast as she had stopped so there was likely no reason to press the issue further. She reaches up slightly to press on the fleshy door triggering it to open up. Us had gone through just a moment ago and their best of finding the helm was probably catching up with the strange creature. It seemed to know where it was going.

Saege hurriedly stepped after Casey, her figure leading the way through the dimly lit corridors of the ship. The walls pulsated softly, and the fleshy, organic flooring beneath their feet absorbed sound, muffling their footsteps as they ventured further into the mysterious vessel that seemed to be almost falling apart. The air felt thick and warm, carrying a faint, unsettling scent that made Saege shiver slightly with unease, though she kept her gaze fixed on Casey. Each turn brought new sights: bioluminescent veins glowing faintly in the walls and soft, rhythmic thumps reverberating through the ship as if it were alive and breathing around them.

Casey whirls around slightly as movement out of the corner of one of her eyes catches her attention. Something or someone had leapt down from somewhere up above them. She draws her sword slightly,  brandishing it threateningly in the direction of the newcomer. "Who are you?" She asks, keeping her grip on her sword firm. If this did prove to be an attack then she wanted to be ready. She could see the newcomer more clearly now, but she didn't have time to really take anything in before a searing pain in her skull blocked out all other thought - this newcomer was infected too. Though that didn't guarantee that this newcomer was a friend.
