Slot 10: Black Points — 11

Best Project Wolf so far:BS2 BM3 DM5 BC6

Plans moving onwards

Since I have all the markings (minus Shepherd Heavy; it's on my next stud, so hopefully my mass breeding will produce me some!), now my main focus is to get wolves with as many project marks as possible. It would be easiest to put the best project wolf up for temporary stud, but I want to breed some more via pairbonds before doing that. Maybe because I'm too excited for my next boy, hahah.

So, current plan is getting rid of all the wolves that have only one project mark and replacing them with ones who have at least two. Next, I'll do that with 4 marks, and 6 marks. It will get harder and harder, but I have time :D

I'll try to be more timely with next updates... that's one of main goals lol

Project stats

As in, how the markings are going. Below I will write a number of wolves with every marking needed; if a wolf has 2 or more, I'll count them in both. I did some cleanup of the ones I no longer needed.

Slot 1: Deira Inverted Opossum — 4
Slot 2: Black Shepherd Heavy — 1 [+ a LOT of factors (Black Shepherd)]
Slot 3: Black Merle Patches — 15
Slot 4: Deira Soay Unders — Currently 4 pages of them. They're on my stud so readily available.
Slot 5: Doubloon Merle — 4 [+ some remaining factors to be cleaned up]
Slot 6: Black Cougar — 14
Slot 7: Shaded:
            ◇ Doubloon — 1 [Factors: 4 Honey | 5 Yellow]
◇ Dinar — 3 dedicated to project + more scattered around the den
◇ Ducat — 10 dedicated to project + more scattered around the den
Slot 8: Black Vixen Points — 9 dedicated to project + more scattered around the den. I also bought and bred 3 seals with BV8 in total, which will help down the line
Slot 9: Black Arapawa Coat — 8
Slot 10: Black Points — 9 dedicated to project + more scattered around the den

Best Project Wolf so far:BS2 BM3 DM5 BC6 and BM BC DuS BV

Keeping everything organised gets hard, so my main goals are:
1. Breed multi-marked project wolves together to acquire at least 6x Project Mark wolf
2. Slowly get rid of 1-mark wolves for space's sake.

Update 18.04.2025

I've been incredibly busy lately, but the project is going strong! I have started to run into an issue of pass rate slowing down, so I may try to focus on two things now:

  • Trying to acquire Muted Dark T3s with project marks already, to not leave it for the last

  • Pairbonding wolves with some shared project marks to help pass rates

I am close to acquiring a wolf that could become a stud, so both of these are vital!

When it comes to litters, not much happened. Nothing really spectacular, besides more shepherd heavy appearing. One thing that I DID change massively project-wise, is that I'm scrapping Ducat Shaded. I'll focus on Doubloon, since it spreads well and I like its looks way better than Ducat. Dinar will still be on par with Doubloon, so I'll treat them the same.

Some notable puppies:

  • BS BM BC BV; yet another 4 mark project wolf, or rather 3 project marks and one factor

And a bunch of 3 mark pups. They seem to be getting more and more popular!

So, updated project stats:

As in, how the markings are going. Below I will write a number of wolves with every marking needed; if a wolf has 2 or more, I'll count them in both. I did some cleanup of the ones I no longer needed.

Slot 1: Deira Inverted Opossum — 3
Slot 2: Black Shepherd Heavy — 5 [+ a LOT of factors (Black Shepherd)]
Slot 3: Black Merle Patches — 25
Slot 4: Deira Soay Unders — Currently 5 pages of them. They're on my stud so readily available.
Slot 5: Doubloon Merle — 16 (up from 4!)
Slot 6: Black Cougar — 26
Slot 7: Shaded:
            ◇ Doubloon — 7 [Factors: 1 Honey | 1 Yellow]
            ◇ Dinar — 4 dedicated to project
Slot 8: Black Vixen Points — 16 dedicated to project + more scattered around the den. I also bought and bred 3 seals with BV8 in total, which will help down the line
Slot 9: Black Arapawa Coat — 12
Slot 10: Black Points — 9 dedicated to project + more scattered around the den

Changes to the Project

With new batch of markings releasing, I couldn't help myself — I'm approaching first big change in the project, and that is replacing Black Vixen Points with Leopard Shark

That means I have a new goal in mind: link

With some help from a friend i secured a Leopard Shark puppy — thankfully the raffle stud had the mark perfectly in slot 8! Vixen was barely visible in the initial design, so it was hard to resist hahah.

Current Goal is to hopefully breed a good puppy out of one of the best pairbonds I have, and pairbonding it to a Leopard Shark wolf to get a potential stud. I might be lowering my initial goal to fewer than 6 project markings — it has proven to be rather ambitious, and pass rates already challenge my existing pairbonds when it comes to only 4 marked pups. Hopefully With a stud I will be able to pass some of the markings onto a Muted Dark T3, to save myself the hassle down the line
