just curious: do you find males on wolvden useless?

I don't play for the breeding and making money bit, I play because I like wolves and this is the one of only two gaming sites I can currently access atm (its a long story), the graphics are good, the story is good too, the game is intriguing, the wolf wardrobe will never get old and the game is pretty young so it has a wide window of opportunity ahead of it, so its good enough for me. I currently have one male in my pack (all wolves except the Queen and the adolescents are befriended wolves). His name is Naiche and he's the herbalist and I'm fine with that. He is the father of two now-adolescent offspring (Leo and Veris) and his mate is Keira. Like I said, I'm not here for the breeding part of it, I'm just here to look after my little pack and do what I can for them and get to know some new characters along the way :3 I value all my wolves equally, no matter their appearance, in fact its their appearance and their names that fuel the characters I see them as and who they are and their relationships...I'm going off topic here XD

TLDR: No I don't find males useless, I don't value my wolves for their gender, I value them as my pack. I'm not into breeding, therefore their gender doesn't make a difference in that way (I'm not gonna kick a pup out if it's 'ugly', don't breed for colours, don't sell puppies, etc.).

They're 100% useless lol. From a profit standpoint why have male wolves when a female can do everything a male can do + bring you profit through breeding. Getting them pregnant is a choice so if you don't have the resources or need them working then keep them working, but females will always have an extra means to bring you profit that males don't.

It's one of my biggest criticisms of the game. A few of my early NBWs are male but im in the process of replacing all of them with t2 females, or high stat females that I will likely base change in the future. (T1s being useless is a whole other criticism.)

Personally, I find both dependent on one another. I like keeping males around for the same roles as my females. So, when I breed and my female hunting team is down, then I just turn around and use my male one. Or vise versa. I honestly don't care what gender of a wolf I get, as I find pups too time consuming and would rather explore to get my stuff instead.
