Introduction

Welcome to the Lily-Pine pack. I am your host, and the pack's alpha. My name is Remus. Please, have a bite to eat and relax. I promise we don't bite.
As of now, we don't have an official storyteller. Everyone just chips in as they can. That can lead to very different tellings of the same story, but they will all share the same theme, I assure you.
Now, as you have requested, I will share some information about my pack. After that, you may inquire about any story you like.

Meet the pack

Remus - Alpha
-Born in captivity, Remus has been on his own since adolescence. Although independent, he works well with others and makes friends easily. He takes loyalty seriously and is never one to let down his packmates.
Marisol - Beta & Scout
-Marisol is a quiet and reserved wolf. She isn't one to talk about herself. The only wolf who knows something about her past is Remus.

Callum - Herbalist
-Much like Marisol, Callum is quiet. He's shy and soft-spoken, but he has a gift for herbalism. Nobody can really recall how he came into the pack; it's almost as if he's been there since the beginning. Remus believes that he has a special connection with the Great Alpha and Great Luna, and that this is the pack he was always meant to be in.

Sal - Lead Hunter (Stalker)
Clove - Chaser
Elk - Chaser
Egret - Pupsitter
Alley - Pup
Koda - Pup
Archer -

Previous Members:
Blue Jay & Plover

Relationships
Remus + Marisol

Religion
The Lily-Pine pack believes that they were all created by the Great Alpha and Great Luna, and that they watch over their creations on earth. They believe that the Great Alpha deals in matters such as dominance, territory disputes, hunting, and defense of the pack. The Great Luna, however, deals in pregnancies, pups, fertility, and self-defense. While the Great Alpha promotes the pack as a whole, the Great Luna promotes individuality. Together, they emphasize honor and loyalty.

Part One

Marisol had been content with her way of living until he showed up. Her days were simple: eat, sleep, maybe take a walk. She never had to worry about anyone else.

This idiot just had to screw things up.

Now, she found herself watching out for him, making sure he didn’t smash his head on the rocks as he attempted to fish. It would be fine if he was fishing normally, but no, he had seen a grizzly bear do it this way during one of his many adventures, and now he just had to try it.

Remus’s dark coat glimmered in the sunlight; a result of his failures, which left him soaking wet. His teeth made a satisfying snap! as he missed the leaping fish once again.

This time, he had a good grip on the pebbles and rocks below the water. Marisol noticed that he hadn’t slid or lost his balance yet, which was a good sign. She didn’t allow herself to relax though because leave it to Remus to find some stupid way to get hurt.

“I don’t think you’re going to get anything this way,” she called over, forcing indifference to lace her voice.

Remus turned his head to look at her with a wolfish grin. He was having fun. “I just have to keep tr-.”

Marisol’s earlier assessment was suddenly proven correct as a fish leaped out of the water and smacked him brutally on the jaw, interrupting him. His face morphed into one of surprise and it seemed like everything moved in slow motion. Marisol could feel, very clearly, her heart beating in her chest.

Thump. Remus lost his footing.

Thump. He was falling.

Thump. He disappeared.

Thump, thump, thump.

A sharp yelp broke Marisol out of her trance and she rushed into the water, resisting the strong currents that tugged at her paws. The water came up to her elbows and kept Remus’s head just below the water. She grabbed the scruff of his neck and tugged his limp body out of the water, struggling to keep his head above it. Although Marisol was large for a female, Remus himself was a rather large wolf, so it was harder than it should’ve been to haul him out.

At last she managed to get him to the dry bank. He was limp and unmoving, and blood oozed from a gash on the side of his head. Marisol’s heart beat rapidly and her paws felt frozen to the ground. What was she supposed to do? She wasn’t an herbalist, she had no idea how to get the water out of his lungs.

Thankfully, Remus began coughing and throwing up water onto the ground. Marisol stared at him as he sat up, spluttering.

“You idiot! I told you it would be safer and easier to fish in the shallow pools, why would you think it was a good idea to stand in the middle of a fast flowing stream where fish are jumping out of it left and right!” She was angry, so angry, and she didn’t know why.

“What’s life if you don’t take risks and try new things?” Remus winced. “Why does my head hurt?”

“Great Alpha, what am I going to do with him?” Marisol muttered, casting her eyes heavenward for a moment. She jerked her head towards the forest ahead and walked by Remus, avoiding his gaze. “You hit your head. Come on, let’s get back to the cave and get you cleaned up.” Her usual gruff disposition returned as she stalked off, leaving Remus to follow.

~~~
Night had fallen, and Remus was sound asleep. They had returned to Marisol’s cave after the incident, where the she-wolf cleaned Remus’s wound (and didn’t speak to him during or after it), and then she had gone and hunted a rabbit for him to eat. He promptly passed out once he finished.
Marisol sat at the mouth of the cave, enjoying the silence. She didn’t feel much like sleeping. There were a lot of things for her to sort through.
When Remus first showed up in the freezing rain several months ago, Marisol hadn’t wanted anything to do with him. It’s odd how quickly things can change.
She didn’t want to care about him, but he was just so helpless. He didn’t know anything about the wolf world, which intrigued her. Where was his pack? Why was he alone? She sighed, looking up at the stars. Was he a message to her from the Great Luna? Even if he wasn’t, it was too late for her to back out now. Marisol didn’t want to admit it, but she missed being around other wolves, and Remus was...comforting, in a way. He was kind and lively and honest. Ever since they met, he constantly surprised her. He was like a breath of fresh air, air that she didn’t know she needed.
Marisol suddenly realized that she didn’t want to be alone anymore.
