Introduction

Setting: semi-fantasy, no wolves shooting elemental powers but behaviors, social dynamics, and appearances may differ from what is possible with real wolves. Setting may have some differences from the real world but is mostly Earth as we know it.

Location: The Seward Peninsula (eventually move pack to tundra)

Canis Lupis
emerged about one million years during the Middle Pleistocene age, in an area known as Beringia. As the tectonic plates shifted, what was once Beringia split into the areas we know today as Alaska and Russia. As for Canis Lupis, also known by its common name, "the Gray Wolf", it was a successful and adaptable species, spreading all across the northern hemisphere. But despite this, the wolf's troubled relationship with another species, Homo sapiens, drastically caused their population to decrease.

At some point individual wolves across the world felt some sort of primal calling towards their ancestral homeland, traveling north to were Beringia once stood. This loose gathering is not a pack, rather a ragtag group of dispersals.

Members

There is no real pack structure, as this is not a pack. But certain members will fall into specific roles.

Sonora: A wolf from a desert who has adapted surprisingly well to the frozen north. De facto "leader" due to her mediating nature, but she knows and accepts she has no real authority.

Lappi: An aggressive wolf from the frozen north. She's used to tracking down scarce prey in cold environments, and excels as a hunter. But more than hunting prey animals, she seems to enjoy picking fights with her fellow wolves even more.

Seoni: From an area with rich vegetation, his knowledge of herbal medicine is Beringia's best. Of course, he has to get used to the more sparse plantlife of the tundra compared to his jungle home. But nevertheless, his knowledge is invaluable.

Miscellaneous notes:

  • this is probably forever a huge wip and will never have pretty css but I wanted to write some ideas down anyways *looks at all these elaborately detailed threads with beautiful formatting* yeah im not doing that but please dont mind me <3
  • to keep the dispersal theme, in-game offspring may be treated as unrelated for lore purposes
  • I may choose to represent wolves from areas where there are now extinct or have never lived
