I've restarted my raise and chase records after having an extensive hiatus (1+ years) so that I can Rules
What Qualifies a Wolf as a R&C Candidate?It's all about the appearance! Stats won't mean much once they've moved out of the pack, and a R&C Candidate cannot be a wolf previously chased. Otherwise they disappear!I look at number of markings, marking rarity, aesthetic, lineage, and inbreeding. I see Tier 1 wolves that are as gorgeous as Tier Special wolves, so I don't bother much with deciding based on what the base color of a wolf is. Instead, I focus primarily on the number of markings and how rare those markings are. Three or more total markings with at least one being a T3 marking will qualify most any wolf in my pack for becoming a R&C Candidate. Next comes aesthetic- do they look pleasing to the eye, or do they stick out like a sore thumb from markings not collaborating in a pretty way? If they're more aesthetically pleasing, they're more likely to be befriended in Explore, so I prefer to R&C aesthetically pleasing wolves. Once in a while you may see a totally unnatural-looking and odd wolf, and that's alright! My preferences just align elsewhere. Lastly, I look at lineage and inbreeding. Wolves with higher lineages (4 or more generations) or any instances of inbreeding in their lineage have more to benefit from being R&C wolves, as their lineage will be erased effectively once they are chased, and later befriended. I rarely will chase a short lineage or non-inbred wolf from my pack without having good reason beyond lineage and inbreeding. |
