That was a very professional way to handle the situation! Many people on the internet, while having a "good intention" in mind, dont actually understand the topic well enough to provide an appropriate feedback if something is offensive to a certain culture, and in turn, by demanding things removed just for a remote resemblance of something, the demanders are often being insensitive and uninclusive, themselves. Advising with a cultural consultant rather than going on with what some people demand was a mature thing to do, and obviously the best possible course of action. Great job.
